I have been trying to find a resolution to the random misfire code p0300.
When replacing plugs and wires - approx 3-4months ago - I noticed the threads were black, like oil was on them - I just thought of this while I was cleaning my garage and found the old plugs.
I cannot find a DIY...
this error message just started to show up in the last week.
New battery - less than a year old.
Alternator has been tested just the same, for some reason I don’t trust the test.
The battery meter is strong at just past 14 and the error does not change/impact the meter.
Checked connections...
2007 Tahoe 5.3L Flex Fuel - some hesitation when accelerating. Periodically throws p0300 - indicates lifter replacement as fix.
There isn’t a loud tick typically associated with collapsed lifters. Talking with a GM master tech, suggested testing fuel pressure before performing lifter DOD AFM...
