the reverse is actually the only gear that still works. I do want to take a shot at rebuilding just to learn how but if I do swap in a junkyard trans I don't want to waste my money on the kit or deal with selling a rebuilt trans on its own.
I just want to be able to drive it again, mostly just around town. not looking for performance out of it and it hardly ever tows. lots of the kits I looked at for the 2004 and up models include some performance upgrades which I dont really care for

It has reverse and shifts 1-2 fine. For a couple years now its had some issues with 3rd. It would sometimes shift hard into 3rd and occasionally slip under load or at high altitude. If I'd kept it maintained before I might've saved it but I neglected it and here we are. Lesson learned I guess
