    Since the motor doesnt have a vac pump on it, and your old 5.3 did, I would suggest doing hydroboost brake booster upgrade and retaining the power steering pump if it will clear the rack thats in there. Just a thought. The compressor and alternator and waterpump should be clear.

    The torque curves these motors love to pull at is 2-2500 rpm. Just the normal across the board with all the options. 5.3-6.2L the 4.8 wants some more RPM up to 2800 in my exp.

    Spot on bro! Forgot about the 14 bolt in some of the eskys... I could only imagine 3.73 gears how much better it would be... but know how bad the gas mileage would tank with my 80 mph freeway flying. My 15 with the Thermostat reprogram on the trans keeps the temps in the 160s to 170s range...

    Get your RPO codes from your glovebox and post the photo here, it really sounds like you have a 3.08 rear gear, if so that could be part of the issue. Do you use tow haul button and lock it in 4th or 5th gear on the trans?

    So there is a sensor that blends or reduces ac to keep evap from freezing up. It was faulty in my ride, the evap would freeze up at low fan speed, but it would get cold for sure. But evidently yours is working correctly, It will try to maintain above freezing temps to keep it from icing up...

    How is your column tilted? Up or down or straight at your face? That can have something to do with things also I would think. Also how far away from the wheel are you? If you ride with the seat reclined a bit it can throw off things also.

    Try going back to QT and should be back to fine... For some reason the blends on Mobil and Exxon are just not great for these motors...Run a good cleaner through it and some Chevron or QT fuel and she should be happy again.
