    Misfires on one bank

Could be a bad MAF, I have seen them cause a whole host of seemingly unrelated codes and problems, shifting problems, misfires, lean codes, 02 codes. even though they "seem" unrelated bad maf data can cause the whole thing to go goofy. my experience in general has been if it has 160k on the maf...

    Scan tool needed for suspension

I like my tech2 and the fact that it's made to work with my vehicle, I have other scanners for anything else. the layout provides all the relevant data to the task being performed.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

when I had mine rebuilt, after multiple trips back to the shop they determined it was the clutch set they used and took it apart again and used a different clutch set. just food for thought if nothing else works...

    Scan tool needed for suspension

preferably a tech2 but anything half way decent that can read body codes should work

Liftgate struts, 1st version vs 2nd version

You short people need that strap, I took it off and tossed it, always in my face or in the way the gmt900's are around 1~2" shorter so now the corner edge is a deadly weapon

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

When I find bulbs I like I buy extra's to keep on hand just in case, and because sometimes whoever made them falls off the end of the earth and you can't get same ones anymore. as is the case with some HID's I bought for the silverado in 2019, now I am on my spare set and the only place to get...

What do these codes mean and how do I fix it?

ya they changed them around 2016 I think, probably around the same time gm lost the carb credits for e85, some of the 2015/2016 are "flex fuel", maybe some later years it's very sporatic on the charts found online

    Tire Pressure

for normal every day driving it's not that critical, just run your tires at whatever the sticker says, you could drive your entire life and never see a difference in 5 psi over or under the door sticker, if you ran them under for thousands of miles you might see some odd outer tread wear if you...

What do these codes mean and how do I fix it?

well the tether is usually one of two things either it is a plastic T thru a hole, in which case you can just cut the old one off and stick the new one in and your done. if it is a clip, then you can pry the clip off with a small flathead screw driver, then put the clip back on with the new cap...

What do these codes mean and how do I fix it?

the code has set 6 times, so pretty unlikely it is just going to go away...... all disconnecting the battery does is make it disappear for a minute normally if the fix is not one of the 2 I already noted then it's usually the most cost effective approach is to just shot gun it. vent solenoid...

What do these codes mean and how do I fix it?

that indicates a small vacuum leak, if yours still has the gas cap, you can try a new cap or I have rolled the dice and have it be the vent valve solenoid up by the engine.. this code can be tricky

VERY likely oil shortages on the horizon: stock up now! (Availability & deal thread)

here at least, it takes many years to build a refinery, the one being built in Brownsville (for light crude) has been in the works for a decade already and groundbreaking "might" happen sometime next year.

VERY likely oil shortages on the horizon: stock up now! (Availability & deal thread)

anybody with half a brain knows everything is made using oil in one fashion or another. Oil is never going to go away even if it has to be squeezed out of plants but you are led to believe otherwise. could you make a rock tool without using oil?, yes but that won't feed your family.

[SOLVED] 2015 Yukon Denali power liftgate will not CLOSE automatically.

That "seal" is basically a balloon, you probably could have put some type of sealer on the damaged part (maybe) i know on mine if you press on it, it activates the lock by air pressure. I found it by accident some time back when I was leaning in to lift some things out of the back and had put my...

    Electronic box under drivers seat.

that is the radio amplifier. It being under the seat is unusual must have been a gmt400 thing at one point. in 2000 it was moved to behind the glove box and then later moved the under the center console then more recently it is now in the rear drivers quarter panel

    Vehicle Dies During Driving

The only reason it might stall from the evap system is if the purge solenoid was stuck open and it was sucking fumes at idle (run rich). a stuck vent solenoid would cause refueling problems if you did not use oem parts it could be the problem still. aftermarket tend to fail miserably

    Vehicle Dies During Driving

I would start with a fuel pressure gauge stuck up in the hood/wiper area so you can see it while driving and monitor the pressure it should stay at or above 43psi at all times with engine running. key-on/engine off you should have 50+psi. since there are no other driveability issues reported...

    Tech 2 for my hybrid

I would assume so for gm module programming, not just in general. If it is connecting to gm then someone has to pay for it, gm charges $45 for 2 years Per vin, shops can get better pricing for bulk of course and as far as I know "some" autel scanners can do programming but require a completely...
