    Air distribution box assembly

This YouTube guy is pretty good showing the components: Is this one of the parts you need? https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-52467204-Distributor-Upper-Case/dp/B00GV8VIXI GM parts direct: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/v-1999-chevrolet-tahoe--lt--5-7l-v8-gas/hvac--air-distribution-system

    Air distribution box assembly

My suggestion would be to remove the assembly. Take lots of pictures. Clean the parts really well with isopropyl alcohol, and use Plastic Weld Epoxy on any cracks. For holes I would get some pieces of plastic of the same thickness, and epoxy in some patches. At this stage, I would think that...

What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Haha! If I don’t trust the backseaters to play with an ashtray, I definitely don’t want a .380 for them to mess with. Lol

What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

My rear passenger ash trays have been “broken” forever. Passengers would get in, and immediately start cycling the ash tray lid up and down until both hinges called it quits. I had the ashtrays out and noted that the hinges were only missing a pin on each side. I thought a conventional roll pin...

Unknown Window Streaking - How to Fix?

My guess is someone contaminated the outer window seal with some kind of “Lube” to stop it squeaking. I would try having the window rolled all the way down, and get a clean lint free cloth saturated in rubbing alcohol, and try and scrub the inside of those seals where they ride on the window...

AC Control Panel fries out with puff of smoke

Just found this in another post in Exterior, of guys with wet carpet passenger side. This is a good photo of the leaking cover panel I was talking about.

AC Control Panel fries out with puff of smoke

On mine the blower motor duct was filling with water. When the outside air temperature would drop, the fan would make a chirping, most likely from the tips of the blower motor turning through ice. The other weird thing was it would chirp if I turned left. After a large snow, it all melted, ran...

I like to call the GM parts desk, give them my VIN number, fall off my chair when they give me the OEM list price, then politely ask for the GM part number and search online. That way I know that the part number I am searching will be the specific fit for my model of truck.

95 Yukon Rear Bench broken release latch

Can you post a picture of your “Broken” release latch. Sometimes it is a cable rigging issue. The latches you are looking for are on the left and right side (See picture of fixed “Striker” of latch) of the bench seat. Unfortunately they are only visible as they release and the seat is moving...

Want to add fog lights '97 / valence question

I don’t know how crazy you want to get, but I have seen OEM looking fog light installs on the bumper “3” in the LMC catalog. Or you could use the lower bumper attach bolt outboard of the tow hook location. You would have to modify your valence for the bracket and lamp.

    Paint Color/Texture on Roof Rails?

I don’t want to get caught up in all the other Roof Rail posts as of late, but I was wondering if someone with a clean truck, could tell me what texture the factory roof rails are. Mine were black at one time. I can’t remember if they were a “Satin” black, or “Flat”. Pictures and suggestions...

    97 Yukon GT “Rustoration”

She was rusty and crusty at the lower door skins. Once it was opened up, it was apparent the lower inner door had to be replaced as well. All the surrounding metal is treated with Corroseal and sprayed with sealing wax. I am hoping to drive it another 25 years.

    '98 Tahoe Mystery Oil Leak

I would suspect the rear wall as well. When I did my lower intake gaskets the Youtubers recommended carrying that sealant bead up the wall and just under where the edge of the manifold gaskets squish down. Have you considered adding some dye, and checking with a UV light? I would also look at...

    99 tahoe ppv spider injection

The Spider replacement is a Long weekend project…if everything looks good when it is disassembled. The coolant ports on my lower intake were so badly corroded and pitted, I had to bead blast the intake, and build the surface back up with Metalset aluminum epoxy. These lower intakes are no longer...

    99 tahoe ppv spider injection

I just replaced the Spider with the MPFI from Motorman, and did the new Felpro lower intake gaskets in the spring. It was a nice upgrade. It could definitely be your coil if it is dying when it gets warm though. Your engine would be using more fuel when it is cold, so I would be leaning more...

    Radio disconnected?

Pull the radio fuse out and put a multimeter across the sockets. You should have 12vdc. On my 97, the “Orange” wire at the harness that connects to the back of the radio is the 12vdc battery power.

    97 Yukon GT “Rustoration”

Some of the fender flare studs are rusted beyond all recognition. I purchased a 5mm threaded rod, 5mm push retainer washers, and cut some backing plates out of aluminum. (I have no steel or a welder at work.) I cut the rods to 2cm. I tapped a hole in the tabs and epoxied the studs inside. It’s...
