Hey
I have a 97 yukon, has the same setup. Was just having a look the other day after watching @TonyR thread where he was doing his steering shaft replacement. I think it is a sensor connected to the powersteer. Do you think that you could press/push the old bearing out of that housing and...
Yes it has been a requirement here in N.Z as well in the past. My Yukon had the same done in japan to be allowed on the road. Orange Led instead of reverse light. It seems to be hap hazard over here though as have seen many American vehicles sporting whole red tail indication.
Am thinking...
Hey looking at the 1st clip,is that shaft supposed to roll over straight or is it okay to have a slight bend in it. Can you see that from the cab while turning the wheel?
Could be how you've wired it. Might just be lights showing n that's all?
Thought about wiring to cig lighter power? Guess then it would be on all the time then thoo_O

Yeah so that was a a rusty bitsy mini moke Mike! :dogpile:
Yes I have! Y.t is a great source of info. Have seen that there is an issue in earlier cases with wear in the housing where 2wd - 4 wd selector is in the transfer causing a leak so I got a good look inside then.
The big hassle is lying under it while changing it out. Looks like I'll have to...

I can source replacement bearings and chain here if it's running chain and then do the the speciality bits from Rock or LCM.
It goes okay in 2wd with a wee bit of...
Yeah true.
Just worked out you're an hour later because of day light savings. Was wondering why it was 11.30 where you are. 4pm here. And I dont know if my weather widget is telling weather in my time or yours. :angry94:
That's great!
What a relief ayy,the weather app I'm looking you up on was saying it was going to get up near 30° with a lightening storm this afternoon. But just looking at it,it is posting for Newark. Is that far from you?
Loving the new shocks :driver:
Although I can now feel everything through the pedal. Need to address a driveline issue that has been there since it was bought.
Transfer is/has been making a rub or worn bearing noise at low speed when cold. Mainly after slow takeoff during coasting.
Have...
Was a big day and the 1st time we had been to a Maori New Year celebration.
The Kaimanua (elder/leader) of the group had recently become a client of my wife and wanted to repay here efforts with one of her most favorite feeds, The Hungi! :happy107:
