I went to add some HotShots EDT before a fill-up, and put it in the tank, and then saw that it was coming out from under the truck.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Is there an overflow I need to get past? I was just using the additive bottle to add it.

Thanks!

Was the bottle designed to be used with a cap-less fuel fill?

Did your vehicle come with the the cap-less fuel fill?

That is what it sounds like. You can improvise with a funnel and some rubberized tubing.

Just use the funnel that comes with the vehicle.

Yes, Or Transmission funnel. Most of my vehicles had a funnel included for additives or big rig nozzle adaptation in an emergency.
Never have needed one for def as the Walmart nozzle goes right down in the hole as well as any DEF pump nozzle.
