So I “finally made it out of the fridge” as @Tonyrodz would say, and he’s not wrong.

My 3-4 year plan of living in Alaska almost turned into a 6 year plan:smh:. But nevertheless I made it. :pepper:

Basically starting completely over....again, I’ve done this so many times in my life it’s not fun anymore. Decided on Arizona to be my home for at least....well the rest of my life.

Yes sad times but the Tahoe is sold to a friend who will honesty probably take better care of it then I did.

I got lucky and was able to ****** up this 03 Silverado with 100,366 on the clock. 4x4 z71 two tone arrival blue metallic with pewterschmidt (giggity) metallic

One owner , no wrecks, unmolested, with all paperwork to go with it.

here pics of it all stock about 5 years and 40k ago.

And here is how I got it. Owner put on 16” baby moons :signs16:, I’m not a fan but lots of people like them. I personally think they belong on older cars or trucks , 50s or 60s. But they’re clean and have brand new rubber so I’ll roll them for awhile till I find what I want like 20s or 22s. It also came with a viper remote start alarm with gps on the phone just like the Tahoe did. A roll up soft but hard tonneau cover, it’s so nice and I love the flush look instead of the hard fiberglass covers that wrap over the bedsides. And lastly mounting brackets on the front for towing behind a land yacht

It will be slow start at first (house shopping), but let the fun begin :rocking:

Installed some carriage bolts for the holes in the bumper
Not ideal but definitely cleaned it up for now till I get a new bumper or a cover.

center console lid is falling apart . Got a new one on order, apparently it’s a common issue.

Nice work so far. The center console lid is a super common issue. I THINK--when someone opens the lid there's nothing to stop it from over extending it, and the cheap thin plastic eventually breaks. It needs a "stop". The older fords had like a rope type stop on its lids going from the lid to the base of the console. After a certain point the rope would take the stress instead of the plastic.
Beautiful sunset. Good luck in your new adventures. Hoping you don't find anymore "friends".

Yea its all good. It took 100k to break so I should be good for another 100 lol. Stuff like that which just flings open never seems right to me so I usually let hold it while opening it. Same with the glove box, people olen and let it drop, I always guide it down. Even though those don’t break its a habit I have with things that open like that.
But I’m looking to replace that center jump seat eventually and get a full center console.

GREAT work!!!!

Good luck in your new neighborhood. Changing sucks, but usually good things come out of the change.
Thanks, time will tell but I’m positive and optimistic this time as long as the country doesn’t implode on itself I think I’ll be ok . Kind of a crazy weird time to move but I wasn’t going to push it off another year , then another, then another
