Hello everybody,

I'm from Berlin, Germany, 22yrs old and just bought a 2003 Tahoe that runs on LPG. I have no idea if LPG is known in the US but if anyone has questions about it, feel free to ask.

In the last 2 yrs I have been on two roadtrips across the US with a rental Suburban, in 2018 from NYC to LA and back to NYC, gathering around 10k Miles and in 2019 from LA to Yellowstone and back, gathering around 6k Miles. That's when I fell in love with american cars!
Since I came back from my 2019 roadtrip I've been looking for a Tahoe and I finally found one just two months ago that I bought.
He has some minor problems (which is ok, considering the car is 17 yrs old) and I already have found some tips and tricks on this forum!

Welcome from Miami Beach Clemens!

Yes the Suburban and Tahoe are perfect long distance vehicles. Enterprise Rental mentioned the Suburban and Tahoe are the most requested vehicles for those longer trips.

Check out the 2003 section also.

Welcome. Post up some pics when you can. Can you provide some info about your Tahoe? Was it originally bought in the US then shipped to Germany, or was it made specifically for the European market?

Welcome to the Forum from New Hampshire, USA.

It will be good to learn about your LP fueled truck and add to our knowledge base in the Forum.

Here are some photos from when I just bought it, I sold those rims, they weren't my style. I have the original GM rims on right now. I just got new BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres delivered yesterday, I´ll have them mounted on the original GM rims next week.

The LPG tank has a gross volume of 100 liters (26,4 gal), but you can´t use all 100 liters because 15% of the tank has to stay empty, for safety reasons. So I can use about 85 liters (22,4 gal), that gives me about 400-500 kilometers (250-310 miles), depending on how I drive obviously. I usually pay 40€ for a full tank.

From what I know the Tahoe was first bought in Italy and was then imported to Germany a couple of years ago.
