Timing Chains
The spider wire set was replace with plugs not long ago. Seen a lot of loose chains on youtube and wondered if others experienced problems?- xczar

Timing Chains
Have a 97 Yukon 2 dr that I keep as near mint as possible. I always gave it regular syn oil changes and anything else it needed. Has 210K on it and I am considering a replacement timing chain as the motor seems to run a bit rough. Is there a definitive way to test the chain? And after seeing a...- xczar

Front Differential Drain/Fill Plugs
My 2-door `97 has a nylon or Teflon washers on these plugs. Didn`t take much to take them off. Anyone know what kind of torque spec to use?- xczar

I use 3M for different things. I know they have several formulas for different materials. I`ll have to check it out to see if there`s something that is not permanent, in case it needs to be done again in the future. Thanks -

Peeled back? Does your vinyl have a padded sponge backing? Mine does and doesn't seem like it would peel? I went to a fabric store today to see what is available. Seems I can get something there that is pretty durable. What year/interior color/2 or 4dr do you have? -

Rear Pinion Seal
Comet, .......... is the 10-15 in lbs preload the amount of torque measured at the turning yoke assembly (yoke nut) when all is assembled (shaft not attached), and wheels removed? Sorry for the need of clarification. Just trying to get all my info strait. ---------- Post added at 04:14 PM...- xczar

Because my yoke nut was loose, I need to re-torque the whole thing with the crush spacer. So I go down to the dealer to buy a new crush washer and nut, then ask for the torque value. 470 lbs !!!!!
