Factory antenna above driver for SiriusXM

Does anyone know if the factory antenna on the roof above the driver will work for SiriusXM satellite? It's on a 2016 PPV with IO3, no SiriusXM. I was hoping the antennas are all the same, regardless of original equipment. Thinking of getting a Roady BT, but would rather use the factory...

    Why So Many Guests?

I run a couple of forums, and have seen similar "guest" behaviour in recent months. Increasing from several surfers at a time, which is standard behaviour, to several hundred guests at a time, which is more than the number of members. They're likely spammers. I'm currently getting hundreds of...

BCM Codes - Has my BCM gone nuts?

Bad batteries will light everything up and generate all sorts of random codes. Get your battery load-tested.

OEM HID headlight swap works until engine start

I don't know how that all works, but consider this: Halogen bulbs will show a closed circuit to the BCM because the the bulb uses a filament to produce light. HID capsules will show an open circuit because the capsules use an arc across two electrodes to produce light.

Red & black buttons on steering wheel

One is momentary, the other is push-on push-off. Wires come out under your dash. Can be used for a number of things, such as radio PTT. It's a option installed by Kerr Industries.

Show off your 2015+ leveled Tahoes and Yukons!

@snives Thanks, I sure like the new approach angle! I was wondering how much of a minimalist bumper and winch mountI could get away with without leaving the rad etc exposed, so that gives me a pretty good idea. Trying to stay away from a big cow-catcher. What part of the Trailgear sliders did...

@snives , are you able to post some brighter pics of the bumper and winch mount, and a side shot of the rock sliders?

    2019 Tahoe terrible am/fm reception

A couple of easy things to check: If you have a USB charger or power supply in your cigarette lighter socket, unplug it and see if that solves the issue. Many of the cheaper units generate wideband RF interference. Some aftermarket LED headlight bulbs cause this as well, but you'd only notice...

    Road trip mods

I've been trying to find a solution for mounting my microphone. I had it sitting in a mic-sized pocket on my center console, which was fine for temporary use, other than picking up the mic was a little awkward since it would be "upside down". I was unable mount it on the face of the dash in an...

RIP old friend (Hwy crash and totaled 07 Tahoe)

Thanks for posting your experience. Sorry about the Tahoe, but all of the safety features did their job and you're alive to tell us about it.

    Xenon Headlight Assembly Options

OK thanks! I'm considering getting those lights, but only after I've actually driven in the dark and determined if I can stand the factory lights or not. I don't know anything about coatings and would want to make sure the lights last.

    Road trip mods

I took a long (for me) solo day trip on Saturday. Left the house at 7am and returned at 7:08pm. When I left the last town with cellular service, I switched on the cell booster and managed to get a decent signal all the way to the next town and just past it, where I wouldn't have had any signal...

    GPS Suction Mounts

Oh @Fless with my solution you can still easily remove the GPS and RAM arm, leaving just the RAM ball mount in place, just by loosening the thumbscrew.
