    Mine truck does the same with the A/C on full blast. When the cooling fan kicks in, it drops the voltage but not as bad as before. That appears to be normal operation.

    Like OP mentioned above, no issues. I have had it unplugged for about a month or so without any issues or decline in gas mileage.
