Yep hit both and they rattle when you hit them. Guess only option now to get the truck quiet again would be to replace them? Or do you have any ideas? Not tryna spend a ton as it’s just an extra vehicle.
2009 Tahoe 190,000m 5.3 2wd. Hello i’ve always noticed a slight ticking noise but it seems very loud the past week. I’ve had a cel on for a couple months now because of the cats are bad. Just wondering does this noise sound like it’s from the cats? Very loud while idling and Can hear on...
Ok 2 more videos. The first one is above. Second below. It does sound like it is coming more from below the engine. Hit the cat with a mallet didn't hear/feel any bits loose.

I should have wrote the codes down but I remember it did say something about the abs disabled on the scan tool. Just drove it today in the middle of my drive home and ABS light turned on and Stailbrake turned off.
No I had a cel light on before, after he scanned it the cel was for cat efficiency. There was no abs or traction control light on before and now both lights are on.
Hello, I have a 2009 tahoe 5.3 189k. A couple days ago I went to go find out what this engine code was on for at a friends house because he has a tech 2. Before that, there were no ABS light or Traction Control light on until then. Wondering what could have caused this or how to fix this.
Say I go and get all new sensors and the code is still there would hollowing out the cats or removing them completely get rid of the cel light? Just wondering because i’ve seen the price of new cats and trying to not spend a lot, as I have a new vehicle. I live in a no emmisons testing state also.
