    New 2025 Tahoe Z71

I just wish my 2021 had adaptive cruise. Not even super cruise. Just radar cruise. Sucks having a long travel rig without that.

    2023 Tahoe/Squealing at low speeds

The squeal is only happening when the vehicle is moving. If I come to a stop, it stops. Once I get over 10ish mph there's too much noise to hear it anymore. It's annoying going through parking lots, through drive thru's, and into/out of my garage. I will try what you mentioned to see if I can...

    2023 Tahoe/Squealing at low speeds

My 2021 has this cricket sound, notice it with window down going through drive through, or pulling in an out of the garage. I thought maybe it's my brakes since I'm at 44% & 72% but it squeals when the brakes are depressed or not. Also it makes the squeal in 2WD or in Auto. You ever find a...

    Oil consumption between changes

My 2021 is starting it's 2nd oil consumption test after the first one was done incorrectly. Right now, I'm appearing to be burning about 1/2 quart every 1,000 miles. But again, my test was done wrong so we're starting over. Dealer gave me literature from GM that says 1 quart every 2,000 miles...

    Motor Oil Brand vs Consumption?

My 2021 used regular oil for the first 36,000 miles and I changed it every 5k. Never used a drop. Once my warranty ended I switched to Mobil 1 full synthetic. 5k later my oil was barely on the dipstick. Took the vehicle to GMC dealer concerned about oil consumption. They drained the oil and...

Windshield Wiper Judder after new glass

Soapy water in a spray bottle sprayed liberally and then scrap the windshield with a razor blade at about a 10-20* angle is a good idea. E ready to have plenty of blades handy and do it in the shade.

Windshield Wiper Judder after new glass

Google the 43R sku and compare the specs above it to what you find as OEM from factory. you might very well have a true OEM windshield. if that’s the case you might need to ceramic or deep clean of the glass like previously mentioned.

Windshield Wiper Judder after new glass

So I bought a windshield from Safelite for an older Land Cruiser. I was told it was OEM glass, and paid extra for it…but after seeing sand and bits very easily with any kind of sun glare I went down a rabbit hole on windshields. Safelite does not always have true OEM glass. Manufacturer vendors...

    Map upgrade worth it?

I received an offer from GM today to update the NAV maps on my ‘21 at a discounted price from $149 to $99. Anybody know what the differences are in maps from 2021 to now? Or how do I find that info? Search didn’t pull anything helpful.

So now GM is going to start charging us for software updates??

It seems the miscommunication on this is GMs description called this an update when really it’s an upgrade. Updates fix system code/etc, upgrades changes/adds/removes features and capabilities. Being around IT people for work I’ve come to try and always know the difference. Charging for...

Is it worth jumping to a 23 Ultimate Denali from 21 Denali?

$7,500 for 13,000 isn’t that bad… It’s not costing you $26k to have driven those 13,000 miles. It cost you like $7,500. Once you’ve sold the Ultimate is when you can claim what the cost per miles would be. This equates to me as like a lease at decent miles being turned in early. You’re just...

    Anyone know about ceramic coatings?

Agreed. There’s also waxes with ceramic properties in them now. Granted I had to scrub less with the CC coated vehicle for the first 3-6 months , but looking back the 10-16 hours of prep just wasn’t worth it. Most cars look incredible after being CC’d purely from the prep.

    Anyone know about ceramic coatings?

For what it’s worth, this stuff is extremely toxic and must be handled very carefully. Prepping a vehicle is the majority of the cost, but a new vehicle is worth it. So if you can do it yourself safely for $200 like I did, it’s worth it to try. I prepped and CC’d an M3 and I’ll never do it...
