Most miles with stock AFM system?
My 2008 Yukon XL w/5.3 LC9 flex had to be replaced with a long block at 166k miles. I was smart and did the water pump at that time too. I have 222k on the vehicle now but I have been using the Range device since the new engine was installed. No oil issues or problems.- stimpster

Run a tank of E85 orleave well enough alone ?
I have been using only E85 for many months. Just completed my 2nd 3000 mile roadtrip. Year round in Indiana. I feel the power bump and get 12.5mpg combined instead of 14-15 for gas. Besides wasting corn, I love E85, and have had no problems. I have less than 60k on the Engine, but the rest...- stimpster

I was bad and let the oil run down about 3 quarts low twice... Eventually the rings on one of the pistons froze up so i was running on 7 cylinders. The dealership said they could free them up but they would just freeze up again soon. I got a complete LC9 long block (5.3 flex) with the...- stimpster

Yes, I will be doing the GM install, but I need to wait until they offer Saturday service again or get a tech in on a Saturday to do it, unless I can figure out how to get it there during the week with working. I agree. The problem is, both are same price, but the Monroe at the Tire place I go to is 4 miles away and open on Saturday, and the GMC Dealership I get a 20%+ discount at is 25+ miles away through traffic and not doing service on Saturday anymore.
