A Melling M295 standard volume and you can either change out the bypass spring or shim it with a 1/16 thick washer and it will net you 60 psi of pressure at idle and 75+ at WOT. Also block off the bypass on the oil pan.
If we were going to boost it I would go that route, but this is an N/A build that won’t be anymore than maybe 500hp. In the future it will get a narrow 9”, but for now the yearned only needs a posi. It already has 33 spline axles and disc brakes.
I agree with you but we are cutting the spring pitches and relocating them. The truck it is going under is a street/strip build and this is the must economical route to put a bulletproof rearend under the truck. That is why I am asking about it. Everything in/on the rearend except for the brakes...
I was thinking it was a 60, but the cover has the 12 bolts and the other 60’s I have found all had 10 bolt covers. I did find that the old truck 12 bolts had a true 12 bolt cover. However with this rearend coming out of an 04 van and having 6 lug axles I wanted to ask others. I have searched...
I’m not 100% positive on this but the pulsating could be the alternator. I have noticed a pulsating too. I think the only way to verify is to put a new factory alternator on your vehicle to see if it rectifies the issue. There never seems to be better equipment than factory unless you go with a...
I am building an 03 Tahoe 4wd and It is going to be a family/hauling vehicle. I would really like to upgrade it to 8 lug, but I don’t see a way possible for the front hubs so I am at least going to upgrade the rear axle to a bigger 6lug 12/14 bolt. Is there a factory rearend that will bolt in?
I did get my issue resolved. I had to replace my alternator but I have found that the alternator on my Tahoe fluctuates depending on load on the system and if the headlights are on/off. I don’t have the automatic light sensor installed right now so my headlights are always on unless I manually...
I have gone over the system and I have replaced the purge valve. thinking that was the problem. I have tried a new gas cap and that didn't fix it. I pulled the evap canister and removed the charcoal because I was having an issue when filling up at the gas station. I noticed that I have one line...
So.... Is there a different cap that works better than the factory style? I'm not a fan of the breakaway type cap. Do the newer vehicles have to run that type for the fuel system to function properly?
I have had my issues with the EVAP/Fuel tank and I still get a tighten gas cap at around a 1/4 tank. I still have to take the cap off and reinstall but it clears and everything is good. This leads to my question. I have the yellow e85 cap and I honestly will never run e85. Is there an...
It was pressure. I still haven't resolved the problem completely. I haven't had anymore stalling or hard start issues... However, I did get my first p0455 code a couple of days ago.
I have replaced the gas cap and still got the code, but not the tighten gas Cap. So last night I reinstalled the...
thanks for the feedback. I will try a new search. I'm not sure why I was only getting stock housings. I was getting all kinds of options for the other models, but none of them were specific to the tahoe/burbans
Are there any options for the 07-14 tahoes besides stock for headlight housings? I have searched and found different styles for yukons, silverados, and sierras but nothing for the tahoe.
