    Broken CV boot??

    ... thats all there is to the installation? just unbolt the old one, and bolt up the new one? Is there any special tools required?

    If I just buy the whole assembly, shaft and all, it already comes ready to install correct? All I would have to do is remove the old one, grease up the new one and pop her in?

    I noticed the other day that my CV boot on my front right wheel is busted. I am unsure what this part even does and need to know what needs to be done to get this taken care of. Attached is a picture of the boot. Any advise would be great!

    Yeah I'm sure I'll be more excited tomorrow, just had a bad experience with this shop. Oh well. I went out earlier and I'm not sure if I will be able to fit 285's without a decent crank...

    Will do. It's going to be a couple of months before I need to get new tires anyway, so I should I have a good idea on how much bigger I can go.

    I'm just swapping over the 265's that I have now. But I will have to get new tires before snow comes, I'm either going to go with 285s or 305s... As far as what kind of tire, it's going to be an all terrain, something like the toyo open country's or the cooper st's.... something that wears well...

    I picked up the rims today! The lady forgot the center caps so I only paid $150 for the rims and I'll pick up the center caps sometime whenever I get a chance. But, the rims look new, I'm very happy with this purchase. I'll be sure to post up some picks monday whenever I get them mounted

    Sounds good, thanks for the info. I talked to her earlier and she just had the teflon stripped and recoated two weeks ago. I'm going to arrange to pick them up sometime this weekend. I'll be sure to post up some pics

    Thanks, how about the 0 offset though? Will it stick out or be tucked in, or stay the same? Also, how did you like the rims? Any complaints or reasons I should not get them?

    I'm looking at these Mojaves and was just wondering if they will fit correctly. I know bowtiefreak used to have them or still does. My plans are to put 33's on them. http://memphis.craigslist.org/pts/2467715499.html she doesn't have the tires anymore, but the rims are only $200

    Cleaned my IAC and throttle body :) and returned the lift kit I bought :(
