I have been doing a lot of research through and through the tahoeyukonforum and I can not find the answer to my question regarding HID's in the Fogs. And since WHITEOUT and DenaliAK in my opinion have a lot of knowledge with HID's then I will ask a question.
I have just upgraded my HID Lows...
@ Roadrageror: Did you ever get around to taking a pic of where exactly you placed your ballast under your bumper? Also, do you think you can point out in the pic what the "spacer" looks like.
I looked around under the bumper too when I was attempting to find a nice spot for my ballast, but I...
General Motors Protection Plan Coverage (GMPP Coverage)...
Well mines expired in january 2010 and now June 2010 my Yukon needs some electrical work done... Does anyone know of a place that I can purchase a new warranty plan that has a low deductible?
DenaliAK-- No my Yukons fogslamps are not the round Denali style, they are the roundish rectangle looking ones...
I believe they are found in model years (minus Tahoe Z71& Yukon Denali) 2002-2006.
I was thinking of prefabbing my own too, but I wouldn't know where to start.
So I have ripped through all the threads regarding HID's and there are a lot of them, but my question is more along how to match up the perfect foglamp to house an HID fog bulb.
I know that it is recommended when upgrading to HID's for the lows to upgrade the headlamp--I went from the Yukon...
I believe it is HIGHLY recommended to also install a relay. I am sure DDM Tuning sells them as well. I have HIDs installed in my lows, but not my fogs nor my brights.
I have been told that the 55w maybe better in light performance then the 35w but may run a (small) risk of overheating...
Sasquatch--Remember that your Yukon SLT may use a 9006 bulb size for the low and the denali OEM projectors may use a 9005 bulb size for its low. (it may differ from year to year).
Also when you istall your HID bulb make sure that the return wire on the bulb faces downward when you place into...
I know that this system is set to work all the time unless the driver presses the buttom to disable the system...I was taking an off ramp turn and I noticed the system working, because my brakes started to apply themselves...I have since upgraded my stock head unit to a Pioneer Z2. Ever since...
Matt14: I took it to Pacific Stereo also in Fremont, CA.
Where is Juniors exactly? You say they know there stuff over there, well I sure hope so...I may just end up taking it over there tomorrow
So I am finally fed up with this whine coming through my speakers, I have made numerous visits to the audio shop that did the install and every time I go there I leave there unsatisfied! Although I don't pay them because I tell them that I already paid for a service that they should of done, but...
I clicked on the links that you provided in this thread but it will not allow me access...is this something I can do on my own. You mention a software update, how do I obtain this software and how do I update it?
Thanks for the info...it is very useful and very detailed. I did notice that all the componenta are all crimp capped together into one single ground wire. I will be running individual ground wires from each extra component and hopefully that should fix the problem...Thanks again sdgd711
