    00 silverado radio ?

As far as the chimes, on a 00-02 the chimes do NOT go through the radio. So thats one less thing that you have to worry about. Like mentioned above, you can replace your dash bezel and fit a double din radio. OR.....you can just install a simple single din radio or CD player with a 1.5 din dash...

    Removing exterior door trim

I wish we could do that on a Chevy. On the Yukons, the door trim is separated from the chrome strip. But on the Tahoes and Suburbans, the chrome strip is actually ON the door trim, not under or below it. Regardless, I've never seen a Tahoe of this era with faded door trim but the chrome...

NBS / GMT800 Escalade rear window & 3rd brake light for sale.

I've gotten a ton of messages about it, but everyone wants me to figure out a way to ship it. And dealing with Facebook Marketplace is a nightmare. People lowball the hell out of you right off the bat, or they expect you to deliver it, or else they act interested then they ghost you.

NBS / GMT800 Escalade rear window & 3rd brake light for sale.

You've never put something in the back of your shed and forgot about it?

NBS / GMT800 Escalade rear window & 3rd brake light for sale.

Bump. I'm cleaning out my storage shed and I realized that I still have this rear glass. If I can't get rid of it by the end of the month, I may end up trashing it. Any reasonable offer accepted. I have it advertised locally as well.

    I installed E-fans on my 2001

Yeah, it's almost like GM designed that relay block to clip in place alongside the factory fuse block. And removing the OEM fan clutch is DEFINITELY the worst part of the job. I didn't have a wrench big enough to fit, so I used the biggest pair of Vise-Grip locking pliers that I own...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Had to jump start my Suburban to move it to cut the grass around it. The poor old girl is just sitting out there getting weathered now that I don't drive her anymore. My wife says I should just sell it, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of a perfectly good vehicle (does need a battery...

    Power Steering Hose Replacement

Exactly like that. But I'm too poor for that Snap-On set. I have a $30 set made by Sunex. It gets the job done just the same, but for far less money. Now if I was a professional and had to use these all day 5 days a week, then I would "maybe" consider the Snap-On set. But for a "home gamer"...

    Power Steering Hose Replacement

I can give you one tip on replacing the power steering lines. Using Flarenut Crows Foot wrenches will help you TREMENDOUSLY. I've never replaced my own power steering lines, but I helped my son replace the ones on his 99 Silverado. I tried breaking the futting loose with a flare nut wrench...

    Right turn signal not working?

I would FIRST try installed some new bulbs to rule out the LEDs. If everything starts working fine with the new bulbs, then that tells you that your issue is caused by the LEDs.

Brake lights and Reverse Lights inoperable

I would get a test light and test ALL connections at each light AND at the trailer harness. The trailer harness is on a seperate fuse from the tail lights. I've blown one of my trailer fuses before because of a short in the trailer wiring. Also, if you live up north where the salty roads are in...

*fixed*Antifreeze leak present for 3 days gone the next

If you dilute your own concentrate, make SURE that you pre-dilute it in a seperate container with at LEAST a 60/40 dilution rate. I would actually recommend 50/50. didn't properly dilute mine and my water pump gaskets started leaking less than a year later. I had several mechanics tell me that...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Gas is about $3.50-$3.75 here right now. Makes me glad that I am NOT driving my Suburban every day anymore. Ever since I've started this new job about 6-7 months ago I have only driven it a handful of times. I still have a quarter tank of gas in it, and haven't filled it up in MONTHS. I now...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

A few days ago I drove my Burban for the first time in 3-4 months. I had to jump start it, as the battery was dead. I drove it for about a 20 minute drive, then after trying to start it a few minutes later the battery was dead again. I boosted it again and drove home, and put a trickle charger...

    Safe jobs from A-I

I'm a mobile skilled maintenance tech. I SERIOUSLY doubt that any part of my job can be replaced by AI. Maybe the paperwork and work order part of it, but the actual troubleshooting and repairing stuff, NOPE.
