    Trucool 40K installed....review

So I moved the Trucool down below the bumper and opened up the fake lower Denali grill to allow airflow. Drove around in some rush our stop and go traffic to see how it would do. Ambient temp was 95ish. A/C stayed cold the whole time (when really hot, the A/C would struggle before). Engine...

    Trucool 40K installed....review

Just realized I never replied to this thread with an update. After the Trucool install, the trans stays a good temp, 145-165, maybe 175-190 when towing on a really hot day in stop and go traffic. The coolant temp is a different story. If I drive around town for a bit, I'll get coolant temps...

Keeping coolant and transmission temps under control when towing in the summer heat

Yes, Trucool 40k right smack dab in front of the AC condenser. Have to move it down below next. I'm assuming you are referring to the transmission fluid cooler....

    Oil Pressure Sensor Stuck?!

I didn't need any swivel sockets. I just pulled the brake booster hose off and that let me use a straight 3/8" extension. Took me an hour to figure that out, but once I pulled that hose off the intake manifold, it took me 5 minutes to remove and replace the sensor. Of course, the Dorman...

Is there anyone other than Justin that can address emails? Seems he's still 3-4 weeks behind in even responding to emails.

2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali 6.2 Overheating at a stand still

Soooo....just in case it's helpful for anyone else..... I flashed my Denali back to stock and checked fan trigger temps. When sitting idle with AC off, the fan kicks to HIGH when the coolant temp hits 230 and then kicks back down to LOW when the coolant temp gets down to 220. With my specific...

Keeping coolant and transmission temps under control when towing in the summer heat

Ok, so not something I should focus on when battling high temps. I have an aftermarket 2 core aluminum radiator, but from Amazon, not the Core brand or whatever it is that doesn't come with a restrictor. I never checked mine, but it gets up to temp normally and then I am battling higher temps.

    That's a very good point!

2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali 6.2 Overheating at a stand still

I'm not convinced they would help for my specific issue. I don't have any cooling issues at highway speeds, which tells me that there is plenty of airflow through the radiator. When at slow speeds and relying on the fans, the fans PULL air through the radiator from inside the fan shroud.....so...

Keeping coolant and transmission temps under control when towing in the summer heat

What's the purpose of the restrictor? Does it help with cooling.....or does it simply help with getting temps up to operating temp?

2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali 6.2 Overheating at a stand still

Both of my baffles are flimsy/torn and not doing anything. I think they both are flimsy enough to have fallen down. But could that be enough to cause it to run too warm? The "fins" on the radiator (new) and trans cooler (new) are clean. The AC condenser looks good too.

This radiator: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LY5ZSB4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Not sure about a restrictor, but I was having overheating issues before I replaced the radiator. Which relays are you referring to? My stock radiator temps were about 30-40 degrees...

2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali 6.2 Overheating at a stand still

I've been having this same issue with my 2013 Denali. Replaced the radiator with an all aluminum when the stock radiator plastic ends cracked. Still kept getting warm. Replaced water pump with new OEM pump. Replaced thermostat with OEM. Replaced any sketchy hoses. 7/9 blade e-fans. I have...

    Trucool 40K installed....review

So my Denali has 147k miles on it and i've noticed the transmission lately has been always around 200 degrees, even when outside temp was in the 70's, no towing, highway, etc. Stop and go traffic and in the 90's and it would creep up to 210 or more. The trans fluid is old and needs to be...

2016 yukon denali are seats actual a/c ?

It simply blows cooled air from the vehicles A/C ducts up into the perforated seats. There isn't a separate AC compressor/condenser/etc/etc.
