When my u-joints went they squeaked, but it varied with speed. Yours is a stumper. I would think if it were anything in the drivetrain it would vary with either speed or rpm.
That's not really an order. That's all one job. Please don't throw a cam at your engine without supporting mods. Before the cam I'd do converter, headers, exhaust, then cam. All that if you bargain shop used headers and such can be done for around $1500. Other options are of course toss a...
Duramax crew cab dude. You're going to hate the fuel mileage you get out of a 6.0 XL if you tow that trailer very often. I learned that from experience getting 8-10 mpg out of a 6.0 burb pulling a 5200lb trailer at 65mph. I decided to make the change when my buddies crew cab dirtymax pulling an...
Just shooting from the hip with no info, a code under load to me could be pinging/knocking. Could be a sensor going bad and picking up false knock. Could be a million other things. Pinging can definately be caused by bad gas so either way I'd get this checked out immediately.
If I remember right the factory one is 85mm. Of course I could be wrong and it could be 82mm. I know I'm close though. A bigger TB may give you a few more ponies but with that alone on top of your mods you really aren't going to notice anything but maybe a little more throttle response. I fact...
Gonna be hard to find either in good shape on that budget. I bought my 03 Denali 2 years ago for 15k and it still books over 10. Good luck man. Hope you find yourself a truck.
I bought my 04 in 06 with 65k on it. When I got rid of it last year it had 225k. I got my Denali 2 years ago with 99k and today she's running with 165k. You treat em right they'll un forever.
If you stay with the gasser I'd say the Suburban 2500 is the way to go. I have a Denali XL and wouldn't even think of towing a trailer like that with it. According to the manual it's towing capacity is lower as well. I don't know if that's due to the AWD or the fact that it's a luxury SUV built...
Crew cab Duramax dude. Pull your trailer and still get half decent mileage. My buddy had a 6.0 suburban and pulled his 32' trailer with it and got 10 mpg at best. With his duramax he just got he's getting closer to 15 on average.
