I have a 2005 Tahoe LS.
5.3l 4x4 all wheel drive
70000 miles
My wife tells me today that while at a light she went to go and the trucks rpm just went up and did not go. She took her foot off the gas and tried again. The truck moved. I checked the fluid and it seemed fine...
not really looking for a vin look up as I already have the codes. I wanted to try and figure out what Trnasfer case/ drive system I have and what fluid it takes.
What I figure its a NR4 transfer case with stabiltrac control All wheel drive- Dexron III
fluid. The tranny I think is a 4L60E...
I just bought a 05 Tahoe this saturday. The dealer said I had Autotrac transfer case, with stabil trac traction control. But I am not sure. I have attached some option pages and photo of Transfer Case.
Can you tell me what Opts I have so I can figure what fluids I need to get...
Ok will be pickiing up a 05 Tahoe Friday. I am told it has Autotrac. I have never owned a all wheel Chevy before. As I understand it Autotrac is a traction control setup.
Can anyone tell me if this is a good feature. I am not lifting the truck or off roading my wife will be driving it...
quick question on the out ride.... when you put the new shocks on that are not air shocks do you need to do anything with the computer? will you get check engine light or a code?

Just got a 05 Tahoe LS, It has "Airride" suspention. I think thats what its called. Basically it levels the truck via air.
My questions are:
1- How many miles are these shocks good for? assuming I do not pull anything with the Tahoe and travel is on...
