I have 275-70R18 Goodyear Territory MT tall but slightly skinnier same size as a ZR2 Silverado, full compression on turns the back of the fender rubs, but a tiny trim fixed it. Seen here with 2.75” of lift
So far I’ve done a ton of general maintenance, threw some new LED bulbs in, greased all my Zirk fittings, check the torque on various suspension hardware,
And the biggest one so far is, I got half the interior torn apart to paint the silver plastic and fake wood trim. Picture below is the front...
Let me tell you guys, I’m honestly not a fan of the new platform…. I’ve done 700 miles from SLC Utah to LA… pros so far, quiet, quality is great, smooth shifting 10 speed, digital dash, big mirrors, LED headlights are awesome. Avg 22mpg doing 80mph most of the time.
Cons? Surprisingly rough...
Looks like I’ll have the pleasure of replacing this hose once I fly in from SLC today. Wife noticed coolant was really low and was dripping from the right front side… gotta be those factory crimp style clamps going bad already
2019 Suburban 5.3 117k on it.
Yeah dude it was a relief to not have to take that exhaust apart haha, I bought the gaskets just incase but it worked the way I figured it would.
I used a vacuum pump and pulled everything out but 1.5 quarts and that allowed me to tilt the pan enough to get it out.
Tire rotation, trans drain and refill with new filter, old fluid looked red with light brown tint @20k miles since rebuild and also did the front brakes…. Now I just found out I have a P0711 code and need a new TECHM so that’s the next project in early October. I’ll
Post about that for the 6L80...
Awesome thank you so much dude,
This definitely helps. once I get everything in place in early October I’ll report back on the removal and install of the TECHM
thanks for the Advise on the bits, I believe I have them already from other projects
Alright guys just need to some advice here,
I have a 2019 Suburban 5.3/6L80 combo
I’m getting the P0711 code which with my scanner said temp sensor out of range. Code showed before a drain and refill new filter.
Now the problem with this is my transmission doesn’t shift weird or slip. The...
this upcoming weekend I will be doing the transmission fluid change for the first time on my rebuilt 6l80, its been 20k miles so this should interesting. front brakes are up also and so is a seafoam treatment for the induction system, fuel tank and I'll be putting some in the crankcase before...
Dude, those two videos were awesome, I plan on doing the DOD in about a month or two on my own suburban, I’m definitely gonna follow along with the videos as I do the project.
You have to hold the start stop button down for about eight seconds and that will put the truck into ACC mode,
My LT suburban with the luxury package has the start/stop button and that’s what I have to do to access ACC mode
It’s nice to see other accomplish this task their own way, I usually do wires and plugs at the same time so I have no cares on what happens to the wires, but yes that #8 plus has been and will most always be one of GM’s most hated parts
Just don’t forget the dielectric grease for the plug boot...
I know for sure I have 1.25” more down travel due to the Uniball joint having more travel range then a typical ball joint setup. I haven’t checked up-travel but on initial install I know for sure it’s at least 2” more compared to the stock setup.
Choosing the boxed arms and uniball was just...
