I have the same suspicion. I bought a CO2 detector that goes on the coolant reservoir that tells you if your head gasket is bad or not (that’s if exhaust gases are getting in the coolant) and that should be here later today, so I’ll let you know what I find on that. It’s at least worth a shot...- rAiNTwist

#5 and #7 misfire
The misfires are only on 5 and 7. I have a BlueDriver scanner and a ELM. The biggest thing is I can’t use the ELM on my iPhone because it’s not compatible unfortunately, which is why I bought the BlueDriver. I didn’t know that I had to use the BlueDriver with their app only and they don’t have...- rAiNTwist

Thanks for the tips, the timing was set to 0 but for some reason the CMP retard wasn’t showing anything but -10. The distributor I got actually wouldn’t even let you clock it, it really only sits in the default position. The cap and distributor are both dragonfire, I got it off Amazon but the...- rAiNTwist

Hi, I have a 98 GMC Yukon (5.7L Vortec). Recently it started running pretty bad. Sometimes I would start it and it would drive fine for probably 15 minutes and then it would start misfiring… badly. Sometimes I would start it and it would misfire really bad and then as I forced it to drive it...- rAiNTwist
