    '02 Tahoe radio recommendations?

Congrats on the 02, by the way. Recently got my wife a 23, but a grandson has the 02. He’s an 05, so the Tahoe is 3 years older than he is. He loves it, as did we.

    '02 Tahoe radio recommendations?

Lots of good suggestions here. You sound like an experienced Tahoe guy, but remember on these there’s a factory amp behind the glovebox. It has a filter that cuts all the bass from the door and pillar speakers. Bass goes to the sub in the left rear enclosure only. Years ago there was a post with...

    New Ride for my Sweetie

Got it cleaned up and managed to take a pic to post today. My wife is 5’3”. The Tahoe makes her feel a lot taller. She loves it. Couple of short road trips so far. It likes gasoline for sure, but that’s ok, and it’s way more comfortable for us than the Enclave was. Think she’s gonna keep both...

    New Ride for my Sweetie

No pics yet. In late 2018, we bought my wife a 2019 Buick Enclave Avenir to kinda upgrade her ride from her 02 Tahoe LT that we got in late 01. Was gonna sell the Tahoe, but was too attached to it, so it became Car 3 in a 2 person household. It’s gone now - grandson grew up in it and has had it...

How many miles did you get out of your original Transmission?

2002. 5.3. About 180k so far with no problems. Followed manual recommended maintenance.

Dealer rip off or legitimate cost?

Don't have this fancy stuff on my 02 LT, but yeah, I'd guess the seat sensor would be relatively inexpensive, but he said it was the haptic motor, which is the motor that causes the seat to vibrate to alert the driver. $500 may be high, but this thing is for sure gonna be more than $25.

Could we put all the buying, receiving and ordering posts in a separate category?

Not to mention making up 90% or so of the weekly summary posts and being completely irrelevant to those of us driving 2002, not 2022, Tahoes.

2000 Yukon XL - Non Bose, no bass from factory radio or aftermarket radio

Here’s the article I used to bypass the factory amp in my 2002 Tahoe LT. as others have noted, the stock system filters all the bass from everything but the sub. I did this and put in 4 new door speakers. Sounds fune to me now. Whether you want to do more depends on your hearing and how...

2000 Yukon XL - Non Bose, no bass from factory radio or aftermarket radio

Read this and see if it applies to your Yukon. Pretty detailed instructions included. http://www.savagehomeautomation.com/projects/bypass-factory-ampcrossover-in-2002-chevy-tahoe.html

2000 Yukon XL - Non Bose, no bass from factory radio or aftermarket radio

Sounds similar to what was on these for at least a couple of years. I replaced the 4 door speakers and the sub in my 02 Tahoe. Clean sound, but no bass except from the sub in the back. There is an old thread somewhere here that discusses the factory amp, mounted behind the glovebox, that...

Wife hates my new 2006 Yukon XL Denali

Dude- Advice from someone married for almost 53 years, dump the Tahoe. She’s never gonna be comfortable in that car. Not worth it. You know the saying - If Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy. If Daddy ain’t happy, ain’t nobody cares.
