Does anyone know if it is normal for the radio / navigation unit to spin the navigation disc endlessly? Even after following the service manual procedure to end the Retained Accessory Power mode, the radio / navigation unit can still be heard spinning the navigation disc.
Thanks for any help.
Important update to my post. I did not know about the procedure for measuring "low reference" circuit resistance. I followed that procedure, still at 15 ohms of resistance (too high). I noticed the navigation disc is being spun by the radio / navigation unit endlessly. I don't know if that's...
Isn't P2138 having to do with the accelerator pedal position sensor (APP / APPS)? This is the description from the scanner for P2138: "APP sensor 1-2 correlation".
Why do you think the TPS is the trouble based on the P2138 code? Am I misunderstanding something?
Here is P2138 from Alldata...
Hello,
Does anyone know where a digital version of the factory diagnostic manual can be purchased? I have a subscription to alldatadiy.com but it has very little diagnostic information. I would purchase a hard copy if the price was decent. Thank you for any help.
I searched the forum but did not find the answer to this. Would someone like to help me by looking up the number of labor hours required to overhaul the engine on a 2008 GMC Yukon XL Denali AWD? This has the 6.2L engine. Thank you for any help.
I thought over the AFM question before we bought a vehicle without it. Best I could tell, AFM helped GM meet EPA combined emissions requirements but the benefits for the most part end there. On paper, the bean counters must have been satisfied that it would get out of extended warranty for...
I'm posting this because I didn't find anyone else discussing it, and it may help someone else. My theory is the steering racks on these trucks develop play between the rack and pinion gears somewheres after ~ 160K miles.
The truck is a 2008 GMC Yukon XL Denali. The OE steering rack (190K...
How about removing the belts and running it for a short while to make sure the noise is not from a belt or accessory?
Not fun, but you could unbolt the torque converter and run the engine to eliminate the transmission as a variable.
Thank you for your help.
Even if the results don't end up being as you had hoped, I encourage you to finish this project. I have learned a lot from taking on projects such as this one that you now have in your hands. I haven't always created a useful product at the end but the learning...
My mistake. Arnott’s warranty is lifetime limited. The warranty on shocks is not mentioned in their warranty PDF. I asked at Arnott, they verified the lifetime limited warranty.
Guys, thank you for helping me.
To summarize, I learned that the Air Lift 1000 Helper Springs (air bags) aren’t designed to work at the higher pressure that the OE air shocks are able to withstand.
I had a thought about trying to find a lower pressure cut off sensor to accommodate the Air Lift...
Hello,
We have a 2008 Denali with the air assist shocks in the rear. The air bladders on the rear shocks are worn out and leaking. I have a few questions that maybe someone could help with.
What is the typical life span of the OE air assist shocks? Mine are AC Delco PN 5801095.
I was thinking...
