So, what I'm thinking I need to do here is get some shorty headers that will bolt right up and get a second matching si/so Flowmaster muffler and run true duals all the way to the back. Does anyone think there will be a space issue?- pflan

Actually.. and I apologize for my ignorance, would the setup in my comment above even work? Or does it usually go headers, y-pipe, muffler, pipe to tips? Because my plan became headers, muffler, y-pipe to dual tips... but I happened to think and wonder if that is even correct.- pflan

On my way to work this morning, I decided straight pipes would be a bad idea. I enjoy the nice smooth tone that I currently have, and I'm afraid straight pipes would ruin that smoothness. Hmmmm going with what I already have and adding headers may be an option. I would also like to go from the stock looking tailpipe to dual tips, so I could probably just add a Y-pipe there. I'm not comfortable doing the headers myself, so hopefully the labor on that isn't too expensive...- pflan

Front end pop?
I am definitely following this thread. I have the same issue. For the past 6 months or so, sometimes during a slow turn or a sudden stop, I get a pretty noticeable popping noise from the front end. I am having my sway bar links replaced soon, so I am going to have them check the ball joints...- pflan

Factory OEM Running Boards OBS Tahoe
It will be a few days at least - they are at my buddy's house where we took them off. But I will try to get some pics as soon as I can. They are nearly flawless - my '95 only has 39K miles on it and has been garaged. -

I actually removed my OEM running boards a couple of days ago on my '95. They were held on by.. I want to say 10 bolts on each side.. now whether every Tahoe has the spots/brackets for those bolts, I have no idea. But I'm close to the Georgia/Alabama line and have some for sale if you're... -

Thanks fellas! Took the brush guard and bug deflector off last night, so I'll have to get some updated pictures - cleans up the front end a lot to me.. although the bug deflector left a couple of small paint chips and the paint that was under it needs a buffing. I'll have to get that handled...- pflan
