2025 Diesel orders opened
Wednesday we took a whirlwind trip from far Western NY to Lake George NY. Mostly express way but some 2 lane. Also hilly going up rt 88. Ran with the cruise set at 74. The trip was 842 miles, avg was 28.4 mpg. This was in my 2023 diesel Suburban..with 30,000 miles. Love that baby diesel. Padraig- Padraig

Fuel Filter
Changed it, yesterday...Easy Peasy! I could get under the Surbaban enough to access and remove the filter and housing but could not see to remove and replace the little O ring on the stem. Did it by feel and checked with a mirror. Might put it on the ramps, next time. Thanks, everyone. Padraig- Padraig

6.2 or Diesel?
Somebody asked about mph while towing with a 3.0 Duramax. Hauling an approximate 6,000 # boat, from far western NY to Lake George I averaged almost 18 mpg. Trip was 390 miles and some serious elevation changes . Most of it at 65/70 mph. Just an estimate but used no more then 2 gallons of DEF...- Padraig

Engine choice for new Yukon XL Denali (best reliability for next 3 years)
Diesel all the way. Additional maintenance is minimal, Def is no big thing. I have a Burban with 24,000 miles with zero issues. I am 76 years old and have owned muscle cars, pick ups, sedans and high performance boats. This baby Duramax rates as one of the sweetest engines I have ever owned...- Padraig
