GM now offering the Factory Service Manual as a subscription?!?
I have found that my local public library has access to the Chilton's Service manuals, Online version, for supporting DIY repairs and information. Does any use a Fumoto oil pan drain valve?
I put one of the Fumotousa valves on my 2009 suburban (with the LC9 engine) and I have had zero issues with it. My daughter liked having it so much that she just had me order one for her Mazda3... the oil flows out a little slower, but you can direct the flow right into the recycling container...- omandave

Awesome write up and photos! Also nice finished look... Would you be willing to add one more photo, of the final, adjusted/aimed cutoff? Asking because I am not clear that I have my own aimed quite right... I bought a set from a company, and was less than impressed... DIY would have been... -

Chasing 0455 code for months- Help!
My Evap canister was chalk full of crud and threw me the same code when I first acquired my 09 burb. GM redesigned the canister and the vent hose. The new one needed a 6 inch OEM jumper wire adapter, because they changed the wire plugs too. Solved my problem... Good luck.- omandave

Buying a shop service repair manual
I have had a lot of success on my other chevy vehicles using this web version... https://www.roswell-nm.gov/1112/Chilton-Auto-Repair-Library it is available as a service of the Roswell public library... Maybe it can help for the interim. It is extremely similar to my 2009 Factory Service...- omandave

What have you taken a chance on?
I just took a chance on some HID retrofit Headlamps. I purchased them from: https://www.hidretrofitkit.com/custom-headlights/2007-2014-chevrolet-tahoe-bi-xenon-hid-retrofit-headlights/ They are associated with "Vanquish Auto"... so I was a bit more trusting, based on other "lighting" posts...- omandave

Updated valve cover (for PCV) details
I did not get the new OEM part I purchased the dorman brand version of the new part through Rockauto... I bought the Dorman 264-969 for around $45... it has a lifetime warranty vs 12 months for the 12642655 oem... I replaced the PCV and its hose as part of the rebuild since the original hose...- omandave

Updated valve cover (for PCV) details
I redid the top end of my 09 burb a couple of years ago. the updated cover moves the PCV "vent hole" away from the corner, in an effort to reduce the amouint of oil that gets sucked up into it when parked on a hill.
