Steering Box Spline Count
I just replaced my steering box 2 weeks ago, along with pitman and idler. I ordered the correct pitman arm (referencing correct part number from Alldata Diy, I have an 04 Tahoe) counted the splines that way (4 spline), then ordered steering box. No speedometer, front windows, heated seats, locks.
Gauges not working is the cluster, a known issue. Had the same issue, replaced cluster with a rebuilt one, all fixed. I had the issue with scanner not communicating (Autel scanner as well). something to try, may not do anything but my issue was the ABS module. Simply unplug the ABS module...- Nuclearseal

2001 Tahoe ABS ISSUES
1) did you do an ABS bleed after replacement. A scanner wont do it you need even a basic bidirectional tool 2) i have heard (cannot confirm). Slamming in brakes to activate ABS helps too (I dont recommend). You could get all 4 wheels off the ground and do the same to make sure ABS is working...- Nuclearseal
