Informational question about a used 5.7liter.

Kinda what I was thinking. Good to have other opinions though. :)

Informational question about a used 5.7liter.

I'm wondering if any one has a general price range that a 5.7liter with full wiring harness would be worth? It's got around 130,000 on it.

    Rear barn doors.

Ok. Kind of what I thought. Thanks.

    Rear barn doors.

Nope. Extremely rusted. I want to try and get the hinges off so I can get them in my drill press.

    Rear barn doors.

The hinge pins for the rear barn doors on my Tahoe are broken. Is there more to removing The hinges than taking out the bolts? I've taken them out but couldn't get the hinges to come out.

    cab lights?

Lights look really sweet. I just got a 99 tahoe a few weeks ago when my 03 was totaled. I was thinking about putting the cab lights on the 03 and now the 99. This definitely pushed me over the edge. gonna order them very soon.

    Another 4WD Question

You should have to take it out and apart.

    Yes I do.

    4wd not engaging

I'm having similar issues. My 4 hi works but can't get 4 low to engage. I know where the front axle actuator is, but is the feed back switch the button I push on the dash or is there another "switch" under the car? And what's the best way to test? ---------- Post added at 09:08 PM ----------...

    service 4wd light

I guess I posted too quick. We pulled the t-case and all the clutches were good. It ended up being the encoder motor.

    99 Tahoe 4x4 help, won't come out of 4hi

Very interesting. I just replaced my encoder motor this after noon. We thought the tcase clutches were burned up. Pulled it out and they were all good.

    Air Flow Issues...

Yup. That was my first thought. ---------- Post added at 04:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:45 PM ---------- I made a discovery while on my way home. There were some papers on my dash and even though my vent was on floor, most of the air was coming out of the defrost. So I'm assuming...

    Air Flow Issues...

Well got to the evaporator. And it was spotless. Felt around and Maby a couple leaves in the bottom. I will have to just dig deeper in the dash. I'll update with what I find. Thanks for the suggestions so far though. :)
