Yeah, it otherwise acted completely normal. No MIL/CEL lit up and I havent done a scan yet. I'm not sure an electronics error would display a code until it started affecting other components.
Thanks
Yeah. I have a yard full of diesels at work and I've been busy all week keeping stuff happy, starting and running. This weather plays hell with everything. We're back to the 50's and 60's starting Monday.
I'm selling the truck to a good friend and just want to make sure I am not selling him...
Yesterday morning my gauge cluster went funny. All my gauges were reading way too high and didn't reset when I keyed off. See attached pic. This is with the truck idling with the transmission in park. I had to disconnect the battery for a second to rezero them. Then they were fine.
09...
Months late but am just browsing around and saw this. Check/change your brake pedal switch. Its probably stuck, wore out, broken.... Cheap fix and you should be good again.
It all depends on how it was maintained. We just had to rebuild a 6.0 here at the shop for low oil pressure. Thought the gauge was bad. Tested it with a mechanical gauge- read very low pressure. Tried two new oil pumps and it still wouldn't make oil pressure. Determined with a trusted GM...
You have to gut the entire interior- remove the seats, the center console and all the trim panels. Is not difficult but a fair bit of work.
Hard to say how much the hushmat helped. I need to do a side by side ride with one without it. I did notice more wind noise and a couple squeaks I...
Thanks. Hard to believe now its an 09. It's at the body shop right now getting a redo on a piss-poor door repair (deer strike from previous owner), the front bumper fixed (guess the PO never saw a curb she didn't like) and all the scratches/scuffs removed.
If I'm happy with how the body...
Finished!
Got the bus finished up on Saturday. I put hushmat over the entire floor:
Then started putting the freshly detailed interior back together. The new carpet fit exactly like it was supposed to - all the details were dead on. No trimming, no cutting, no messing around at all...
List is $223.69 and $323.45 for the two sections (there is a seam under the second row) but I would imagine its a little cheaper for a Tahoe. I got both for under $400 (wife gets discount at work- pretty much the same pricing as the online GM Part vendors but I don't have to deal with...
I'm up the 85 from you in Rockwell (south of Salisbury on 52).
I'll see how the new one coming in looks and then see how I might want to fix the second.
The map pockets are pretty mickey mouse. If they ever get used they pretty much come apart.
LOL...with mine being an 09 I am probably Sh*t-Out-Of-Luck and therefore no "I care" post.

I think so. I'll let you know when they come in.
I might fix the one with the good vinyl pocket with epoxy...
Got my new carpet from the dealer today (got for about what aftermarket was going to cost). It is 100% original- no trimming, molded perfectly, everything like the one that came out- except this one is all new and clean and all.
The only problem is they can't get that molded piece that fits...
"Scott Clark here again..." Yeah. No sh*t. Get off my TV because I am tired of looking at you. Sheesh...
At least Amy Rogers is nice to look at....

UPDATE.... Took the seat back off to see what's...
Oh yeah? Well I worked out of Sumter for a couple years (worked for Thompson Industrial)..... How's that for small world?
(I bought a new suburban from City Chevrolet in Charlotte back in 2001 but didn't keep it long enough to ever get service from them)
