As my wife and I search for a new to us vehicle after her beloved Hyundai veracruz was totalled by an 18 year old I am constantly unimpressed with what is available in our price range....
Then, I found a 08 Yukon denali hybrid with the 6.0.
I have owned 3 different LS engine trucks, an 8.1...
Just like the title says, I changed the battery on our 2007 xl denali and afterwards I have no movement from the sunroof. I hear an electrical click so I feel like its trying to open. I obviously checked the sunroof fuse and its fine.
I have also read this...
I had the exact same problem/symptoms on a different GM platform and it was the crank position sensor. If I remember right it was super cheap, I would start there. Also, know cel codes, may have had one "deeper" but my cheap scanner at the time wouldn't read it.
Yeah they are an issue for all of the motors of this style 4.8-6.2
The YouTube vid for the 5.3 Chevy isnt identical to your vehicle but it's super close.
Had the exact same problem with our 07 denali (6.2)
I swapped sensor, check for screen, tried diff filters/oils. Then bit the bullet and tore into it. I checked o ring first and when I took it out (again, probably 6 hours, never dropped an oil pan before) it was super obvious. It was flattened...
They are a pain to get to, so if you are doing it, or paying to have it done, replace the filter under it. It can cause problems, and super cheap to do if you are already in there. (I think mine was $3 at an auto parts store).
If it is just the sensor (sure sounds like it) I would wait, and...
My wife's 07 Denali has had park assist issues since we bought it used. I have fought with it to try to get it working, but now would rather not have it at all. We back right against our garage door when parked in our driveway and the beeping would wake up our toddlers if they were asleep in car...
Preface: I have read all about the sunroof leaks and clogs etc
I have put water through my drain holes manually and have figured out its my drivers side drain that is the issue. The passenger side gargles and gets rid of the water I manually pour in a hurry. The driver side does not. It does...
I attempted to listen to each one with a mechanic stethascope, none of them made noise. Perhaps it has all of them shut down due to being a fault.
I took the b pillar trim piece off also, with no luck, never did find any sign of worn wires, so now I am at a lost as to what is the issue. The...
Yeah I may try that, I have changed the "faulty" sensor or what may be faulty with no luck. I also took the rear bumped skin off the other day to check wiring behind it between the sensors and saw nothing obvious inside the wiring loom and didn't see anything that would lead me to believe its a...
Has anyone tackled the service park assist themselves? I have it on our 07 Yukon Denali. I have scanned the codes and it showed a short to voltage on the left most sensor. I tried to just replace that sensor with no luck. So I'm looking to dig In to it more. I have done a ton of research and it...
Mine seems to be an on going battle. Comp runs every two minutes, but is very loud. I can hear it over the idling 6.2 100' away...
Hooked up the rv today, squatted the truck, comp fires up, but never lifted. Which is odd, because when messing with it previously I pulled an air line off and it...
Honestly if I were to do it again, I would unbolt the front diff tube at the CV flanges and u joint and REMOVE the front diff, 12 more 13 or 15 mm bolts and a lot more room to work.
Tools need were pretty basic. 10, 13, 15, 18 and I believe 24mm for steering rack. One swivel socket and basic...
Pan was a bit of a *****.
Drop cross member
Drop/loosen front diff (left on jack stand)
Drain oil
Remove splash guard/plastic skid plate.
Take off bolts holding on steering rack, didn't remove from truck but let dangle.
Unbolt 3-4 brackets on side of oil pan, unbolt oil pan
If you search you...
