BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87
It does come out darker than what it’s supposed to yes. But, it’s getting whatever junk is in the engine. I often see bits of sludge come out. So it’s doing something for sure. Now I only add 1 quart of atf to my existing 8 quarts of oil.- Mma-007

Sorry for the late reply. I run transmission oil in my rig before an oil change to clean out any sludge that might’ve accumulated since I brought it. The oil does come out darker than what it should be so it must be doing something for sure. It’s a personal preference and in no way shape or form...- Mma-007

Wut? Last time i changed my oil was 7 months ago. So I would expect that. Every time I do my oil change i add a quart of “syn transmission oil” for at least 100 miles before I drain it. My mileage between changes is 800 - 1200. Usually twice a year I change it because I baby the hell out of...- Mma-007

Something for people to keep an eye out on when you take your rig in. My rig passed two weeks ago. According to them they changed the oil to 0w-40. I decided to do an oil change (I prefer 5w30 in my rig). I feel my rig runs better with said oil. Maybe it’s a placebo effect but I can notice...- Mma-007

question in regards to the gauges…I’d assume you can only include 1 temperature gauge at a time? I like the ability of seeing the engine oil temp which is cool. I’m renting a 2025 SLT. Sorry for the late reply. thank you for the info. The serpentine belt has been the same belt since I brought the car. I’ll look into changing it. Hopefully that removes a bit of sound.- Mma-007

sorry for the late reply. As far as mechanically things are good. I just hear the knock either on the valve body or somewhere around the valve body. Also, it’s difficult to place a label on the second sound that has me a bit confused on. It’s like something opens and closes. It’s hard to...- Mma-007
