    I ran into this problem today and wanted to provide my fix - crimp connector. the old fashioned non-insulated metal crimps? Worked a charm. I had some very old ones without any holes laying in a junk-drawer in my toolbox.. I was able to snug it between the cowl connector and the arm hose, works...

    but all 6 or 7 of them?? to me, I would think they work fine as far as the physical switch. You can turn them all OFF/On individually, for example - as long as they're triggered on by the door being open. Just can't turn them on with doors closed.

    Thank you! I believe what tripped me up was looking at the parking lights after using remote start! Since you mentioned fog lights and all, it made me think of another question -- My dome/map lights in the front. They only work on door open or forced dome function - I can't use them separately...
