It's hard to believe that they don't have a drain plug. Now I drop the pan, replace the filter and O-ring every other fluid change. I replaced the pan on my 2011 chev sub with another pan (same design stamped metal) that has a drain plug (which itself is magnetic) and I also replaced the pan on...
IMO - Continental is not the best tire around. Speaking of round, check for radial and lateral runout. I'm strictly a Michelin Man and after having worked in Service in a dealership for some time, (seeing all the different tires being used), it's obvious which tires are made within better...
Garcia is spoke on with his comments. I've been through this many times and if it's the expense that you're concerned about, you're right to say that the dealers are crazy. Eight months ago, replaced my rear level ride shocks on my 2011 chev sub LTZ for new ones off EBAY for $78. You should...
Go with 6.2 and 6L80 IMO - or 6.2 with 10L80.
I have a 2019 Yukon Denali 6.2 with 53K and 10L80 - no problems at all but I'm religious about changing transmission fluid and filter about every 30K. Also I have a 2011 chev suburban with 5.3 with 156K miles. Replaced Torgue convertor once under...
I've done it many times on my 3 GM SUVS> Yukons and Subburbans eat those cards when you set them on the console in the right spot.:)
The proof was when a radio shop on my 2004 Yukon Denali took apart the console in order to replace the Bose power amp that had a continuous draw. Found several...
"YUKON DO IT!" Seriously - I've had two XL Denali's and one 2011 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ - For me it's Yukon all the way but I would not buy anything newer than 2019 or 2020. Good luck.
We see where GM has a recall for Crankshafts on the newer 6.2 L87s and is recommending 0W-40 oil instead of 0W-20 oil. I've often questioned where the 0W-20 is too thin for the hot NC Coastal climate in the summer and was thinking about switching it to 0W-40 for our 2019 GMC Yukon XL Denali...
On a 2019 GMC Yukon xl denali 6.2 10 speed Transmission - Does it sound correct that GM recommends a Drain and Fill and not a "Flush"? Does the Crossmember have to be take out? Really? Tks
Down here is coastal NC a lot of folks have DYI wells for their irrigation system (even though they have county water) and the iron as well as sulfur content is extremely high. If their irrigation system goes off and sprays your car, the high iron content makes it very difficult to remove the...
The separate Power Amp located at the bottom of the center console was the culprit of the draw on my 2004 Yukon Denali. It's a very common issue. There are shops out there that rebuild the amps but I wound up replacing it with LKQ used.
