great reviews, decent price and 3 ohm load. not sure when i will get around to installing them yet...
which muffler do you have? im just replacing the muffler only on mine. I didnt want to spend teh extra on the catback when i knew i wanted the SLP tips. i ordered the 11229 14" muffler. i have a feeling it may be pretty loud, but im good with it
i do still have the factory muffler currently. like most people have stated before, it gives a nice deep note on startup, but during driving my intake is louder than the resonator delete. i have a magnaflow muffler i will be installing soon in place of the stock muffler. I do love the look though!
Finally got my SLP Tip / resonator delete installed this weekend. I have had the box in the back of the tahoe for a couple weeks waiting for the time to do it.
here is a video i found explaining the above.
if the tahoe is using a capacitor as a crossover then that should net the same results from what i understand. Bottom line the tweeter isnt being seen by the amp because of the lack of power the tweeter requires to run even at full capacity. So...
so ive been doing more digging and found this info on a diesel forum...
"basically, there are three different GMT-900 bose amplifiers.
1. "premium"/non-luxury Bose. 9 speakers (7 in trucks). Speaker in each door, subwoofer in center console, and a-pillar tweeters. SUV's get 2 additional...
thanks guys for all the input and thought. im going to keep on digging and see what turns up. i may just go for it at some point and see what happens...
here are some pics i took of mine. then a pic of it in the back of my '11 Ram CC. I used door stops as "feet" for it to stand. 1.5 years there with kids jumping on it without an issue. i think you could do something similar in the jump seat area.
just read through all 82 pages over the past 2 days. very impressive and i love all the things you are doing to the truck since you bought it. i have an idea for your sub box options.

i had this in my '02 ram, and im going to be installing it...
thank you! the tahoe could defiantely stand to have a paint correction done. lots of light scratches around the doors from the kids. I may try to wax this weekend after everyone goes to bed.
the c10 i pulled out of a guys shed about 3 hrs away from where i live. he used it to haul crap around...
i agree. i really thought it rode nicer when we first bought it. when i lower it later this year im going to replace the shocks and check all my bushings. i do know im getting a random clunk in the back over certain bumps as well. overall its just a bumpier/rougher ride going down decent roads...
while its rattling, lightly push down on your e-brake about an inch and see if it goes away. ive been tracking down a similar rattle for months, come to find out it was the slack in my ebrake cable rattling inside the connector.
