That’s what it was. They had to replace a pulley and tensioner. I expect to have the same problem again at 40K miles, but they fixed it for free. It’s common. I heard it on Tahoes too.
I have the same problem in my 2021 SLT. I’ve had it for a year and have 22K miles on it. It’s at the shop right now and apparently is a common problem. The service dude says the last one he has it was a pulley and a tensioner, which makes sense to me. I expect it to be covered by warranty. We’ll...
