Still, I'd rather have a running rig. It's not a daily and will mostly have highway miles..What do you think about the 06? He says the tranny is in limp mode, not the engine. Been up for a few weeks and seems eager to sell- keatonmx

The other thing with the Tahoe outlined in my og post is that he wants to meet at the DMV to "make title transfer easier". And that's usually suspicious imo- keatonmx

I also found an 03' z71 5.3l that has 175k miles. He says 1 owner, and looks completely stock. It's out in the country. I'll have to check the codes. I believe only the transmission is in limp mode and not the engine. I also found a black 03' Z71 5.3l for $5k that is 1 owner, pretty clean but has 180k miles. Worried about having to rebuild the trans, he says it runs good and " New shocks all around, new pulley...- keatonmx

I am considering buying this 06' with the issue above. He tells me that it is in limp mode and will only drive to 2nd/3rd gear and he had to flutter the gas and coast.
