Nice find. Fellow Hokie here also and I found my 2008 loaded LTZ Tahoe here in Florida a couple years ago for around 18k. I am From VA but have lived here for 5-6 yrs. No salt and was garage kept. Still holding at 75k miles. Only issues have been replacing fuel pump/charcoal filter, air pump...- Jwc15

Wheel project: Black or color-match?
Probably rides rough and tires that fit will be xtra expensive and you won’t know for sure until it comes time to mount and balance the tires on them. Then fitment in that wheel well and turning what kind of offset are they and are you going to scrape? Lots of unknowns and risk cost. -

Weirdness after spark plugs change
Have you ever replaced your carbon filter, blown out evap lines, changed fuel pump, cleaned fuel tank, replaced evap solenoids, purge valve on block, etc? All that fuel management can cause a rough idle. Mine seems to be idling smoother and responding better than ever after all that. 08 Tahoe...- Jwc15

Fuel pump
inside fuse box, there is no relay or fuse in the spot for the fuel pump, and it ran fine without one somehow before this replacement pump. That is a mystery to me as I didn’t do that and I am second owner though. I read oil pressure sensor can act as that relay provider for the fuel pump?- Jwc15

2008 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 flex capable LTZ 4wd Reason for dropping tank and cleaning it: noticed fuel fillups were getting tougher and pump shutting off after a few seconds (pressure). Wow I just found your thread here and I have the same issue. I dropped my tank and changed my pump with an advanced auto carquest pump and now it won’t start. My pump worked prior to this and I am replacing for other reasons since my tank was already down. This is terrible. Now how did you...- Jwc15
