    Vibration at 70mph

Had the same problem ... it was the CV joints

Conventional synthetic blend or full synthetic

I've full synthetic since mile number 1. Have 260k miles and not so much as a ticking lifter. Coincidence? Perhaps, but my buddies that would rather save $15 or so on every oil change have all bought new motors.

Replaced front CV Axles '05 Tahoe

She has 230k miles on her. She has been a dutiful and trusted friend since the day I drove her off the lot. I never imagined how much of a better ride there would after replacing the original CV axles with new ones (1A Auto). Replaced the sway bar linkage (Moog) at the same time, even though...

Need New Front CV Axles. Which is best brand?

Small Update .... I'm going to assume that when you grab the front axles and try to move them, there should be zero play in them? Yes?

Need New Front CV Axles. Which is best brand?

250k Miles and the original shafts have given up the ghost. Need new ones. I've been satisfied in the past with the quality of 1-A Auto's parts ..... But what are your experiences on CV Axles?

    Steering Box Replace?

My steering box is leaking PS fluid from the seal around the pitman arm shaft. Still debating whether to go for a seal replace on the box (probably won't .. lookes too complicated/hassle) or to replace with a reman. It seems to be the consensus at most/all reman steering boxes are crap and...

Thinking of Buying a 00-06 NBS Tahoe/Suburban? Look Here

This may a stupid, but what does NBS stand for?

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Replaced the intermediate steering shaft and completely eliminated the annoying clunking sound and feel I have had in my truck since it was new. Easy job because I didn't replace the bearing.

    2001 Yukon Weird sound

Could be the tensioner pulley. Had a strange noise on mine as well and it was the bearing in the tensioner pulley. Easy fix.

Water Pump Gaskets on 2005 5.3L

Yeah, I get what you mean. I guess that's it, whether or not the block is a little pitted or not. there just isn't a lot of surface for the rubber impregnated metal gaskets.

Water Pump Gaskets on 2005 5.3L

I've replaced several that had the metal/o-ring gaskets, which frankly can be a pain. I've had leaks from those gaskets before. Recently my sons friend needed help with his water pump and it came with good old-fashioned fiber gaskets, which sealed up perfectly and stayed in place easy enough...

    Oil Filters

I have come to believe that any filter that isn't named Fram is a good Filter. Fram used to be the standard for excellence, now it is the standard for awful. I prefer Wix and NAPA brand

2005 Yukon SLT vibration with weirdness :-)

At the risk of asking the obvious, when was the last time your tires were balanced. Mine did the same thing @72 MPH, under power or not.
