Three things I don't understand on current generation Suburban

We traded our 22 Burb out a month ago (on a ‘19 Expedition Max platinum) because the visibility in the Suburban was so terrible, especially around the front A-pillars and mirrors. I know that GM is trying to meet govt mandated crush test requirements, but the visibility out of our ‘19...

    Traded in the Burb

Yep, our 18 had cam phasers and a sunroof assembly done under warranty before we got rid of it

    Traded in the Burb

3.5 EB sounds like nothing. Definitely not a gurgly 6.2. It’s ballsy as heck, though, and gets good mpg. 19 Expedition Switchgear is more uniform-ly good quality than our ‘22 Burb, which had some flimsy HVAC buttons. Ergonomics work better for me, ie I prefer the rotary shifter to the...

    Traded in the Burb

Back story.......we had a 2018 Expedition that had higher miles and traded it in July 22 on a new 2022 Suburban LT using a good friend's A-plan (Exec Referral) coupon. Black LT with captains chairs, panoroof, 20" wheels and Safety package. Suburban ran and drove fine, we didn't have any...

    275 70 18 winter tires on 21 Tahoe

I’m running a set of 18” Silverado takeoffs with 275/65/18 Blizzak DMV2s (I had them off a previous car and they only had 500 miles on them) on our ‘22 Burb and it’s EXCELLENT in the snow.

Shaking in new '22 Yukon. Just breaking it in or a real problem?

Our ‘22 was built in June 22 and we bought it in July, the day after it was delivered off the truck. Even with stock garbage Conti tires, it is smooth as silk even at 85+. I’d bet your tires are flat spotted from sitting in Midlotian so long. Have the dealer “test swap” wheels and tires...

New 2021 Yukon 6.2l cabin noise

At any given speed when it’s making the noise, if you give it enough throttle to trigger a downshift (and AFM or whatever it’s called now, shuts off), does the noise change? I can faintly Detect when our 5.3 is running on less cylinders at speeds in the 25-45 range, and it has a slight...

    Durability of cheap-feeling interior plastics?

Agreed. agreed 100% but ours is only 5 months old so I’m just starting to notice the scratches. Side note - my Username is back from my MK4 VR6 days when we had 2 Jetta's in the driveway. Nothing sounds as good as a VR6 with an intake and exhaust. Always wanted an R32 but never got one:)

    Durability of cheap-feeling interior plastics?

22 Suburban LT. Black interior, quad buckets. We have 3 kids so our vehicle sees regular usage in all 3 rows. I’m pretty OCD about keeping my vehicles clean and in as “new” condition as possible. Has anyone else noticed that some of the interior plastics seem to be sub-par? Are yours...

    Winter Wheel Setup

18 Silverado takeoffs with Blizzak DMV2 on our ‘22 Burb and it’s unstoppable in the snow.

Can't find Winter tires in stock for 22" 275/50/R22

I ran a set of 22” snow tires on a 2018 Expedition and it still sucked in the snow. Way too much footprint. Downsized to a set of 18” takeoffs with 18” Blizzaks and it was MUCH better. Sold that vehicle and are going to use the 18” Blizzaks on this ‘22 Burb which I just got a set of...

Anyone else struggle with the A-pillar blind spot?

I found a seller online (several, actually) that sell seat track lifters, whether it be a full steel spacer to put between the seat track and the floor, or just blocks that go between the track and the floor where the bolts are. I bought one of those kits, which includes 1.25” blocks and new...

Anyone else struggle with the A-pillar blind spot?

My wife is short........4-10", and she's struggling with the blind spot on our new 22 Suburban LT. I drove across the state and picked this car up new, without having her drive it first (in hindsight, dumb) as she had driven multiple examples of both previous generations and not had any...
