    Yes.

    Sold my new tahoe

I'll bet the real answer is none of the above as he never really owned one to begin with.

    Sold my new tahoe

More likely, it tells us that both banks of lifters weren't replaced when one bank went.

The service manager, like most "service managers", is incorrect. I corresponded with an engineer at the Tonawanda engine plant where the 5.3 and 6.2 are built. The engine build dates that are worrisome are 11/2000 - 3/4/2021. Remember...that's ENGINE build date. it takes about 10-14 days...

Which build months are safe from lifter problems?

    This is the right attitude/response!

    Price Gouging

Here's how the math works for GM: I can sell 100,000 Tahoe/Yukons for a $15000 profit per unit. 1.5B in profit. OR...they can get their dealers sales staff to push buyers into buying 150,000 units at $12000 profit per unit. 1.8B in profit. Remember...the dealer eats profit too. GM does NOT...

Bingo!! Don't ever forget (and I say this loving my Denali)... GM is pension company masquerading as a car company. As such, they need to move as many units as possible.

My New Denali hit the Dealer's lot yesterday!

Looks great. I'm loving mine, too. It's a 6/21 build so I'm hoping to avoid the lifter issue. BUT... I fear it's a design issue and NOT a "bad batch." Fingers crossed.

    2021 Yukon Denali Any Regrets

Totally agree. Go drive an X7 or a GLS. I did. I RAN to my big Yukon Denali. They have to add in a bunch of overpriced leather to pad the plastic because there's simply no comparison vs the ride in the General's big SUVs.

    2021 Yukon Denali Any Regrets

Actually, many technical writers blame the lifter issues squarely on the AFM/DFM. But...who knows?

    Lifter question

I have a question about all these lifter issues. The consensus is that it's caused by the DFM/AFM or fuel management acronym du jour. So...Once my lifters fail and are repaired, won't a repeat failure be expected? DFM is still activated so what's to prevent future trouble.?

    Lifters

    Okey dokey.

    Lifters

No, that's not what I'm inferring. I think you should read the OP and and then my response.

2021 Tahoe with 6k miles mine has already had a head off

Interesting. Do you have a source for this information?
