K-Seal has bought me some time with my heater core. About a year ago I was smelling coolant inside. So I tried the K-Seal and it worked. It's not like the old Bars stop leak with the goopy tapioca pellets that clog things up. K-Seal is a ceramic based liquid that goes where it's needed. All...
I put mine on the drivers side mostly because of the shorter coax run. It's not that much shorter really but I don't see why it can't go on either side. Just personal preference. The fender is a better bet for a decent antenna though. Number one, you can get a fairly full sized dual band...
I guess you could call this a perk, for a while I was getting quite a few incidents when I would get to the drive up window at Starbucks they would tell me, "the person in front of you paid for your coffee". I get it, they were good hearted people doing a nice thing for what they thought was...
Looks like my 2011 SSV when I first bought it. First thing I did was get a smaller bumper, lost the spotlight and get a set of OEM wheels off Craigslist. Roadreadywheels dot Com is also a good affordable option for oem style rims.

Hard to tell from the pic but if it's an NMO antenna mount you can get a rain cap for it on ebay or Amazon. Or, add an antenna. My SSV came with two NMO mounts up top. One I capped and the other I use with a stubby GMRS antenna. Ham antenna is on the front fender.
Congrats on the purchase! I have a 2011 SSV, also with the dash in perfect condition to this day. I've been expecting the worst but so far, so good.
Uhaul may be your best bet for the hitch installation. Search around here though as others have tackled the same issue with adding a hitch to...
