Need help choosing correct Denso radiator 2012 SSV

I went ahead and got the aluminum radiator but wish I didn't. Been fussing with it for a few years now but it seems to be stable for the moment. Problem is in the winter it takes forever to warm up and in the summer it can run hot. I'm looking for any excuse to go back to the OEM radiator...

    2011 Seat upgrade question

This guy shows how he swapped Escalade seats to the Tahoe harness. Pretty simple. There's another video explaining similar. If I find it I will post it as well.

If you didnt have a Yukon/Suburban/Escalade, what would be your next choice?

I've always liked the cargo area in my 2011. The back seats flip up and give even more space. I have a third row set from an Escalade which will hold three adults. So plenty of room in pretty much all situations. If I need more room I simply trailer up.

If you didnt have a Yukon/Suburban/Escalade, what would be your next choice?

I saw a new Tahoe in traffic today. It looked as if there was no cargo area in back. The distance from the rear door to the tailgate was really short compared to my 2011. Why even bother if you can only get some groceries in back. Cargo area is important, to me anyway.

Easy way to replace heater core?

K-Seal has bought me some time with my heater core. About a year ago I was smelling coolant inside. So I tried the K-Seal and it worked. It's not like the old Bars stop leak with the goopy tapioca pellets that clog things up. K-Seal is a ceramic based liquid that goes where it's needed. All...

    Any amateur radio operators here?

I put mine on the drivers side mostly because of the shorter coax run. It's not that much shorter really but I don't see why it can't go on either side. Just personal preference. The fender is a better bet for a decent antenna though. Number one, you can get a fairly full sized dual band...

Bought a 2011 police Tahoe Lt from Oregon questions??

I guess you could call this a perk, for a while I was getting quite a few incidents when I would get to the drive up window at Starbucks they would tell me, "the person in front of you paid for your coffee". I get it, they were good hearted people doing a nice thing for what they thought was...

Bought a 2011 police Tahoe Lt from Oregon questions??

Looks like my 2011 SSV when I first bought it. First thing I did was get a smaller bumper, lost the spotlight and get a set of OEM wheels off Craigslist. Roadreadywheels dot Com is also a good affordable option for oem style rims. Real seat belts are under the side pillar covers. You can...

    Engine Hot/AC Turned Off message

Might as well revive this thread... I was driving across town and the AC Engine Hot message came back, fan came on, temp gauge went flat. It's been a while since that happened so I did a search and saw where someone suggested to do a scan and clear the codes. I happened to have my scanner...

    My 2010 PPV

Yeah I get that. Oregon is t as bad as Cali and WA. It's not that far behind them though.

    My 2010 PPV

Here in Portlandia it dips into freezing overnight and 40's daytime. No moisture coming for a while. However, always cloudy with a chance of hippies though.

    Bought my first PPV Tahoe

Check all the wires at the FI connector. I once had a broken wire at the connector that caused mayhem. It ran like crap and caused the trans to shift hard and over heat.

Power inlets and round metal disc on rear of SSV

Hard to tell from the pic but if it's an NMO antenna mount you can get a rain cap for it on ebay or Amazon. Or, add an antenna. My SSV came with two NMO mounts up top. One I capped and the other I use with a stubby GMRS antenna. Ham antenna is on the front fender.

    Purchased my first 2011 PPV

Congrats on the purchase! I have a 2011 SSV, also with the dash in perfect condition to this day. I've been expecting the worst but so far, so good. Uhaul may be your best bet for the hitch installation. Search around here though as others have tackled the same issue with adding a hitch to...
