    FYI Here is the one I purchased for my 2007 had good luck with. I never did cut the key that came with it, just programmed the FOB and attached it to my original OEM key.

    Yes, it has the rear window defroster and it is working. Do you think it could possibly be related to 3rd seat lighting, seat belt interconnect or curtain airbags my truck does not have? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for that area of the truck? I can't see to find one.

    That is the unfortunate thing of an OEM part if there are no aftermarket replacements. Maybe the OP can find an aftermarket replacement somewhere. I did look at FleaBay and they have the replacement tops for the standard fixed running board but not the Z71.

    So I finally changed my plugs and wires.

    Unless it is the angle of the picture, what I'm seeing is way more than .040. Oh and by the way, don't believe the "pre-gapped" B/S. I did my Z06 Corvette last winter and purchased "Pre-Gapped AC/Delco plugs and the gaps were all over the place - supposed to be .040.
