    Random noise from rear right corner, AC trouble?

    I got a 2008 Tahoe, for a few months now I have been getting this low hissing noise, that lasts for about 2-5 seconds then goes silent for 20-30 seconds, and then repeats itself. I live up north in Norway, so I can't confirm if the AC is not blowing cold air, as this is rarely an issue, here...

    It is just clipped in place, so you just pry it off, I used a platic tool created for removing interior trim, but I guess almost any long and thin tool would work. Just work your way around the edge of the trim until all the clips are loosened :)

    If your Tahoe did not originally come with a DIC switch I recommend you to find one of the same year that did, and submit the VIN number of that car to an auto part dealer / gmpartsdirect.com - they will help you find the part you need. Also remember that you will need to replace the trim...

    When I removed the dash trim, the connector was already there, fully functional. It was in a placeholder bracket at the back of the actual trim so I just loosened it and connected it to the switch.
