ok...that's what my buddy did and the compressor did not turn on. So where would be the next place to check? Does the compressor/clutch have to be working for the system to take a charge? Well I have posted a couple times and it seems nobody will help me, but Im gonna try again. I have an 05 Tahoe LT and the a/c stopped. From what I can tell with the gauges I have the system is of Freon. I would like to know how to jump the a/c clutch from the relay? Or jump it from the low...- eldest928

What about the hydro boost pump? I understand there is something like a pump in the system for brakes and steering assist.
