Fix and Keep My 2015 GMC Yukon SLT or Get Rid of It?

BringTheNoise - I was going to tease you about being so worried about a 200K Yukon when you work at a BMW dealership and the great reputation that BMW has for aging well... All kidding aside... As others have said it looks like you're on the right path. The only thing that came to mind is...

What would you do? Truck Needs Engine?

IF it is an engine, Jasper Reman has remanufactured 5.3 that already have the AFM deleted, FWIW. (you didn't say what displacement you have)

Looking for an alternative to new paint/vinyl for hood. Flood penetrol or similar?

I'm just pulling this out of my ear but I had always planned if I had an old truck etc (one that was pretty base a sparely equipped) and the paint got tired I'd coat it with spray on bed liner. Then I could stop worrying about the clear coat etc.

If you didnt have a Yukon/Suburban/Escalade, what would be your next choice?

DRL off on my 2nd gen Highlander was a godsend. Back in those days Toyota ran the DRL as sending lower power to the low beam headlight during the day. Made me have to replace headlight bulbs a few times a year until I discovered the DRL off.

If you didnt have a Yukon/Suburban/Escalade, what would be your next choice?

The Flex is now out of production. When they were a fairly new product my wife and I rode in one in Chicago that was being used by a "black car/VIP" service (her sister was working for Marriott coordinating national conventions etc and hired the car). Even in the potholed streets of Chi-town my...

If you didnt have a Yukon/Suburban/Escalade, what would be your next choice?

Whatever my baby idolized, this is her vehicle and she has thought of a Yukon as an object of her desire for at least 15 years. Now that we've got 3 kids and her salary came up to the right point, she had a good excuse to order one. If I had to choose I'm going to throw a dark horse choice out...

    Extra fuel tank

Ford and RAM had 36 gallon factory tank options for the 1/2 ton trucks but I'm not seeing them listed on their "build and price" tools anymore. As far as larger aftermarket tanks for the gas versions the searching I do online usually turns up in a dead end and I saw something on another forum or...

    Extra fuel tank

As far as I can tell, previous generations of the Yukon/Tahoe/Silverado had a larger fuel tank as a factory option but this is no longer the case. I have even noticed that some of the other manufacturers seem to be quietly discontinuing their larger fuel tank options.

    lifted,leveled or lowered?

I think if you're going to raise or lower the truck seems best to start with something that doesn't already have factory magnaride or air ride. Truthfully I kinda shake my head at the guys around here who mess with the fancy factory suspensions and then have a million questions about trying to...

Why the switch to big rims?

Very happy to have 18s but I've also got the lowest trim package. When it comes time to replace the tires I also should have lots of options at lots of price points. Honestly most of those trims will take smaller rim sizes within reason, shouldn't be hard to downsize your 20s to 18s or your...

Any Denali Owners Found a good A Pillar Passenger Grab Handle Solution

GM is like a player who starts celebrating at the 10 yard line only to twist their ankle and fumble before they can get into the end zone.

    2.7 Turbomax

I've heard that GM is going to give a 6 year/100,000 mile engine warranty on the 2.7 in the trucks. Do the same thing for the SUVs, well I'll bet there are some burned DFM customers who wouldn't mind a warranty like that.
