    lifted,leveled or lowered?

I think if you're going to raise or lower the truck seems best to start with something that doesn't already have factory magnaride or air ride. Truthfully I kinda shake my head at the guys around here who mess with the fancy factory suspensions and then have a million questions about trying to...

Why the switch to big rims?

Very happy to have 18s but I've also got the lowest trim package. When it comes time to replace the tires I also should have lots of options at lots of price points. Honestly most of those trims will take smaller rim sizes within reason, shouldn't be hard to downsize your 20s to 18s or your...

Any Denali Owners Found a good A Pillar Passenger Grab Handle Solution

    2.7 Turbomax

I've heard that GM is going to give a 6 year/100,000 mile engine warranty on the 2.7 in the trucks. Do the same thing for the SUVs, well I'll bet there are some burned DFM customers who wouldn't mind a warranty like that.

New Tahoe owner looking for advice

Still boggles my mind the way that Toyota and Honda will throw in ACC on practically every model from the base trim to loaded - meanwhile GM, Ford, and Stellantis want you to "PAY UP, FOOL!" Give what a Z71/AT4 MSRPs for even with no options lack of ACC would really frost my cookies.

2013 Yukon Denali: Repair or Purchase a new vehicle

How long have you had it? Are you the original owner or do you know the vehicle's history with reasonable certainty? Personally I'd do the repairs but then once I finish payments on a vehicle I start to lay the money aside from the payments in savings to cover the kind of stuff you just...

5.3 Guys, opinion on oil change intervals

No we did TWO oil changes in 10K. Two free oil changes from the dealership. Every 5000 because they were paying for them. Oil monitor on the last oil change actually said there was roughly 30+% oil life remaining. Wife insists on dealership service (her car loan, her maintenance money etc.)...

5.3 Guys, opinion on oil change intervals

(Forgive if this question has already been asked, couldn't find it in my search.) Just had the 2nd free maintenance on our 2023 Yukon with just a shade over 10,000 miles (our dealer adds one free maintenance to GMs one provided at sale.) Oil change, tire rotation... Wife is planning on keeping...

Swap captains for bench 22 and up

I think the dealership destroyed my engine

I used to do it like that with the old Olds 307 that was powering my college ride. 5 quarts out - 5 in. But then that engine was so high mileage that it was 4 quarts 10w-30 and one quart of Marvel Mystery Oil.

You should see me do a single cylinder Briggs. Clean oil is awfully hard to see on that yellow dipstick.

    2021 Or 2019/Independent rear suspension?

2019 Yukon 4x4 ground clearance 8 in 2022 Yukon 4x4 ground clearance 8 in (quick online search) Has anyone gotten down with a tape measure to check what the clearance is under the control arm? I recall from my misspent youth (the 1980s) a magazine ad that showed stock 1/2 4x4s passing over...

    2021 Or 2019/Independent rear suspension?

I was so happy when GM announced the independent rear suspension. I knew my wife was gonna own one of these suckers one day and having done many miles in the old "log axle" configuration when working in a job where I had frequent access to "the fleet" I thought the old solid axle was only...

What did you do to your 21+ T1XX today?

Hmmmmmm well my wife always liked "color" and was the first to order an "orange" Pontiac Vibe brand new in 2005. Salesman was leary until he saw it being unloaded from the truck. Her Terrain was black due to impatience and wanting to take delivery from dealer stock. When ordering her Yukon she...

    limited slip diff type?

Bingo. I can see how the guys who want to 500 hp or 600+ lb ft through the sucker are going to destroy it. But the average consumer (even those who do tow up to the limits of the vehicle etc.) are likely going to think that the G80 is indestructible. Most of the truck guys and GM faithful like...

    limited slip diff type?

Sorry what I meant was that i think that ALL RWD or 4x4 vehicles ought to have a limited slip of some kind. Truthfully I'm mildly disappointed in GM that when it comes to trucks or BOF SUVs that any customer has to worry about picking the correct option packages to get a limited slip. Didn't...

    limited slip diff type?

https://www.eaton.com/us/en-us/catalog/differentials/mlocker.html It's the Eaton G80 unit made for GM. They've been using it for decades and I wouldn't want a RWD/4wd GM truck/SUV without one.

    Dealers suck.

Honestly I'm OK with "order only" IF I can buy for MSRP and the order to delivery time is 6 to 8 weeks. But I'm a picky motherf***** when it comes to what colors I want, what options I want, and what things I DON'T WANT. I've found my priorities are different from the average dealer who wants...
