Transmission gone... does this rebuild estimate seem fair?
Personally I would just order a remanufactured Transmission and have my local shop swap it in or do it myself for a lot less money. Why would you waste $1,420.00 on a diagnosis for a 7 year old vehicles transmission? The dang thing is shot swap it out and move on.- dnt1010

Odd noise upon remote start - with video
It is 100% normal for GM Trucks to make this noise it IS the oil pump priming. I had a 2016 - 2017 -2018 and a 2019 Sierra Denalis all 6.2 engines and they all made this exact same noise on cold startup. Battery low issue
Easy to have a proper capacity test done at most local auto parts store for free. Typical battery life is around 5 years but if a battery is pulled down completely dead several times its life span is significantly shortened. adaptive valve in the exhaust.
First time I saw the flapper valve was on a 2014 GMC Sierra, I am not sure that it did much other than rattle and squeak after it got a few miles on it. Idea was to dampen the engine drone when it was running in V4 mode.- dnt1010

Tahoe idle oil pressure
I can only relate my experience as I never pulled the oil pan to replace the ORing on my recently sold 09 Hoe. When my oil pressure dropped to below 30 at idle I simply took that as a sign to change the oil regardless if it had reached my 5k max or not. After it had reached +266k miles the oil...- dnt1010

P300 code while driving
If this 99 model still utilizes the old crossover Distributor cap design that is a very common failure point and high probability for your P300 code. It is so common that I would probably swap that cap out first and THEN start my diagnosis if it was still missing.- dnt1010

I bought a replacement hybrid battery from Best Hybrid back in 2019 seems like it was around 2500 or so and it has been good for about 3 years and approx. 70k miles (knock on wood) Everything else is pretty much worn out though at 266k miles.
